- For the first time in 75 years, Gargilesse organised a medieval festival. As its our favourite historic village, we thought we would visit and take you along to see the village as in the time of the Templars!
Join us to see a glimpse of the craft and local produce market, camp, entertainment, exhibitions…we even take Annie the orphan chicken, our last remaining hen!

We have the loveliest supporters and followers of our UA-cam channel 'It's a Wonderful Life'. We remain committed to provide our content regularly, and of late, to increase the frequency of our vlogs. We have and continue to receive, many kind requests, to send gifts, or in some way help us financially with our channel. We have given this a great deal of thought.
Any contribution towards maintaining and hopefully enhancing our channel is very much appreciated, but never expected.
Peter and Anna, where are you? I miss your videos ❤❤
This was a lovely outing! I felt a bit sad as I'll never get to see this village, but then I caught myself and thought, 'how wonderful it is to be able to see it through Peter and Anna's eyes'. Thank you so much for sharing!
Brilliant, glad you could come along!
Hi Peter and Anna, I miss y'all. Hope you're having a wonderful summer and that y'all will be back soon on a regular basis. ❤
Please update us, even if it’s a goodbye. We miss you and all your animals.
What a beautiful quintessential French village. what a lovely way to spend the day.
It really is!
Peter & Anna, this was a lovely outing!
Funny though, I didn't get the notification back when you posted it.
I just had come to your channel as I hadn't seen anything recent from you and wanted to check if everything was okay. Hope all is well. Look forward to more videos from you guys.
Amazing how much of the art work has survived in the church.
The workmanship on the helmets and swords is fabulous.
Quaint village.
Looks like you had a very pleasant day. Thank you or sharing.
you are most welcome!
Hi Peter and Abba, i hope all is well? I'm not sure of your vlog schedule ❤❤❤❤

Another wonderful "trip away"....thank you so much Peter and Anna. It is so nice to be able to travel away with the both of you! What a lovely village with such beautiful buildings and landscapes, so peaceful! Thank you!! 💝
Lovely to see your day out together. Perfect choice of music for your adventures. Great to see Miss Anna laughing. Such craftsmanship in those fabulous helmets you both tried on! Peter, I really liked the way you handed the sword back to the lady... perfect.
Kind regards as always to you both. 🌹xx
What a cracking day out - such an interesting place and a superb event. Thank you.

Interesting.
Wonderful!! The music was perfect!
How lovely! I love events like this. English Heritage used to do host similar events. Thanks for sharing. Xxx❤
Glad you enjoyed it
OH so "Beautiy and the Beast!" The little village is adorable. I went to a Medieval festival in Germany once, on a small castle. It was so fun and amazing compare to the ones here in the US. Thanks for sharing this with us. I love to see the tours of the little places I'll never be able to visit, even if I go visit Europe, which I'll be there in a month. But this type of places are just so beautiful. Peter, you can do more of these lovely tours anytime. Love them.
Thankyou for sharing Peter and Anna loved watching nice to see these events😘😘😘
Glad you enjoyed it
I love the mid evil festivals. I have a small collection of art work from Edmund Blair Leighton, tapestries and 7 helmets, all inexpensive of course. That's exactly how I come upon you two I was searching for mid evil castles then one search led to another then I became subscribed to several people trying to make a life renovating chateaus and castles.
Just wow! I live in the States, and seeing these old buildings and streets, and rooftops is amazing. We have no historical buildings like that here. I enjoy seeing the history of such things. My favorite is a thatched roof. Beautiful!
I was learning horseback archery and had the costume, bow arrows and everything before the world went crazy with the "cvd"
Nice one you two glad you are getting out and enjoying the festivals would be funny if you met up with Selmar Duin at one of those. Like you he enjoys dancing and festivals and very much a craftsman. I could see you two being a medieval knight and his lady for sure. You really like the ginger drinks me too. Though not sure I could tear myself away from the cheese and desserts. thanks for sharing your little trip :)
That would be nice, and he is a great dancer isn't he!
How fun. So much history you are surrounded by. Thank you for sharing!!
Our pleasure!
Very interesting!!! I studied costume history back in the day. What a lovely village. Best.

Wonderful video! I'm learning French and I could actually understand part of what was said! Love the Renaissance fair and charming town. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hola! I was unsubscribed from all my channels and lost all my saved! .. We have these in Australia! love these a great day out
Beautiful place and good to see the event spread over the village. The French seem to have more Templar sites. I'm afraid I could hear coconuts and cries of "Camelot" followed by "Nay, 'tis a silly place". "Your mother smells of Elderberries and all such quotes :D
Yes they do, that's so funny...only a flesh wound!
so French knighs crusaders wore st geoges cross far before the english brough it back to make it thiers .. lol
Thanks for another visit to Gargilesse. It is a beautiful village and the festival really matched the architecture of it. It was interesting to hear you speaking French with the madame. I am working on improving my French for a visit in September. I was trying hard to understand what you were saying - good fun! ❤
Our pleasure! I did a translation as subtitles, just click the CC button at the bottom of the video!
