How the hell is this guy still alive. It's like watching a scene from final destination. This is work which should only be carried out by the DNO. Pulling a fuse is one thing, but working live on a live supply which should only be done a trained professional is takin' the biscuit. DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY OF THIS. 💀
I have done this what I did was taken a plastic test tube from one of them alcohol drinks slid over the incoming and tapped it up. Well it was life so had to was all good.
Christ alive! 😂 for any trainees unfortunate enough to stumble across this, please do not immatate anything you've seen here. It's rare to come across a "How not to" video these days 😂
I think a jubilee clip is the least of your worries mate when your cutting tape off a mains incomer with a Stanley knife. I think trying to stay alive should your biggest concern.
Horrific! At the very least the DNO should have upgraded the cable from the old lead insulated. My apologies if this has been said before. Russian roulette comes to mind with this
"Time for PPE" ... Proceeds to put on Nitrile gloves. Where's your arc flash protection? Fireproof overalls? Mate your PPE for that job is about as effective as trying to slow down a train with a block of cheddar.
Looks like a 2x16mm2 copper PILC service cable. Very dangerous to be moving it about like that and without correct gloves or PPE. To do it correctly the DNO should have carried out this alteration by use of an underground joint and a new section of 2x35mm2 aluminum split concentric. No doubt someone didn’t want to pay or wait for DNO
Aye mate that’s what I was thinking, like playing Russian roulette with a hand grenade is bending and manipulating that stuff. Don’t worry about it shorting out, it will be protected by a 800A fuse that will blow after about a minute😂 by that time there will be no cable left. In all fairness, he did do it on a nice dry day. 😂😂😂
It has been reviewed by the energy network Association and the National crime agency, which is the United Kingdom version of the FBI because they cannot easily see the dno
@@electricalsolutionse4ltd700 yes you are criminally guilty of a lot of things including meter tampering tampering with electricity supply and a lot of other things
One or two times I shouted at the screen, secure the equipment first then wire, the less time unprotected conductors are open the less chance of short circuits.
A couple of offcuts of garden hose would have been quicker and safer to insulate live parts rather than piss about with all that tape. PILC is very fragile and it is not advised to bend it while energised!
My friend, I wish it was my son, I haven’t seen my son for over 2.5years he 3 when I last saw him. The cameraman is a man, just a small man, plus he was also there to call the ambulance if something went wrong.

Yea I was suprised at the depth and how quickly it was exposed. Yes your probably right not a good idea to move around or mess about with. Wouldn’t advise or recommend that anyone else do or try this.
I would not put so much tape on got to get it off😅 That’s not 18 inches deep 😮 metal Stanley knife 😮 I would have cut cable down or loose some of the length to get cutout lower.
@@electricalsolutionse4ltd700 however this equipment is not yours if it burns the house down they will probably want you to pay for it because the first of all you have moved it without without asking and second of all you didn’t follow the proper technique and have documented that
Now wouldn’t it be a shame of this meter point of administration number was conveniently reported using the online form to the energy network association also your blurring out all the numbers on the meter and several steps and there’s a little bar that pops up below saying the video made it picked me to tampering and it warns you against it so UA-cam have probably reported you
Didn't know those gloves were VDE insulated!!😂😂
Neither did I 😂😂😂😂😂

That PILC is most definitely going to go on fault very soon.
Will keep you posted and let you know if that happens.

Good job Jordan doesn't have a reaction channel, imagine the facial expressions on this one
Thank you

That’s a good point DNO is renowned for loose terminations, barely hand tight.
They are done to the proper specification for this cutout fuse doing it too tight for the cause of fire in the future if the copper cracks
Service fuse and neutral blocks round the wrong way, live left ,N right.
Unfortunately limited to what was there existing position.
@@disqualified_dads that’s why it should be redone properly

All very fair points made.
can you film it when you move the gas pipe next
Too late gas pipes done.
😂😂 Check out other shorts on here, shows the new tracpipe installed.

First thing you should have done when you got the supply cable into the new meter box was earth it 🤦🤦🤦
That was the plan, but in the moment it was all quite stressful.
Someone who knows this town/area please forward this to the DNO of this area

How ironic... your description includes "FOR ANY ELECTRICAL WORK CALL IN A QULAIFIED PROFFESSIONAL." - something you clearly failed to do yourself ...
Yup fair comment, can’t argue with ya. I’ll own it guilty.

Im shitting myself watching 😂.
Once im out of hospital, i will upload part 2. 😂
I thought Delroy stopped doing UA-cam
Delroy upped his game
unless you are certified by the DNO, you have broken so many regs and not even proper ppe for working on the mains
If they certify you the likelihood is they stipulate in that do not put it on UA-cam

It was like a task out of ‘Saw’, painful to watch especially when you were bending the PILC

The exact opposite.
Where's part 2? Will there even be a part 2?
Yes once he’s out of hospital, things went a a bit wrong at where this video finished.

You didn’t torque up any of your terminations?
Always torque up terminations, I’ve got an old school device that I use, used for over 25years never let me down,
my right arm 😂😂😂
Even the DNO don’t use torque settings on those types of connectors, they literally tighten it till they can’t tighten it anymore.
