Go Canada Go! Love these “builder” episodes. Very relaxing to listen to Dan’s Maritime twang. Regina….giggle Looking forward to the Joe Satriani episode too👍😎
Dan is a class act and the quality of his builds are top notch! I also vote for putting Tramble on all of his amps and maybe even replacing the treble control with tramble as another Easter egg lol
Great episode. Wonderful to see the raw enthusiasm from Dan. Lots of great info about the details of some classic amps. I copied down Ed's voltages, thanks Dave! And thanks Dan, for a great episode.
Thanks guys, again a Great episode! Was thinking about those early Curt Mitchell videos about VH … nailed it without youtube back then :) maybe you could do a episode with him.. regards!
Tramble sounds good I love to hear you talk specifics Even though I don’t really understand Amp tech talk makes me calm down but it gets me excited to play too
Dave got a question. I just ordered an NOS Mullard ecc83 for my 100 deluxe everyone always say v1 where I mainly stay on the BE channel though wouldn’t I benefit most by putting this tube in the v2 position? Or would it have a greater overall impact in v1? Just curious as to what your suggestion would be. I just assume v2 if I’m staying primarily on the BE channel.
I get the circuit board argument, don't get me wrong, but as the law of unintended consequences goes. High quality circuit board construction often, but not always, gives way to cheaper boards. At least that's what history tells us. So, I can certainly understand consumer arguments against it. Personally, as Dave has confirmed, there isn't that much of a cost savings. And as manufacturing costs are increasing exponentially, the incentive structures can often take on a life of their own. All of my amps are hand wired by small builders, not to say that I haven't owned great PC board amps.
What a great guy. Another wonderful guest.
Thank you guys
Thank you! Was great to have you on!
We love Dan! He's a gifted generous friend to music!

Go with Tramble! It’s got a nice ring to it.
Solid name! Saw a red one with the Tramble name and it looked great!
Great guest! Great show 🙏🏼
I'm a huge supporter of Dan. He's a good man and a genius builder. I have his Crichton Park. It rips.
Only problem is, this episode needs to be like 6 hours long. Please bring Dan back again soon.
I agree, great show!
From new brunswick canada this was a great episode!
Really great show for those of us who love when it gets nerdy!
Great show!
Fantastic episode, Dan and lads!
And Chris Church is a bloody legend.
We know that from here in Australia, even.
Great show gentlemen!
Dec 13, 1968? Wow, Dave. I'm 11 days older than you. Wow, we are old!
This guy seems great. If I am ever in the market for a custom amp he just jumped up high on the list. Good show guys.
Cheers guy's 👍
Dr. Dan would be fun to listen to if he was a wooden spoon maker. What an enthusiastic guy. Great guest and another great show!
24:05 you guys are great :) thank you!!
Great show! OMG! Holy Shit!
Dave, I think you were thinking of Cosmo Music, just north of Toronto.
He's super nice, he fixed my jcm 800 one time.
Friedman: "We'll just rudely interrupt you, don't worry."
Classic episode Gents!
Agreed. I've tried a million ways from Sunday to tame a Marshall... the bog standard Master Volume sounded & worked the best for me.
looking back it was vary good.
I'm here, killer show ty guys. I'd like 2 see Jim Root on..
The sadness on Dave's face when you mention tubes (quality/availability...) is always such a good time. =D
Tramble sounds good
I love to hear you talk specifics
Even though I don’t really understand
Amp tech talk makes me calm down but it gets me excited to play too
I’d love to see an interview with Peter McMahon of Homestead Amps!
Hi Dan!!!
Basically everytime you guys have some one so knowledgeable and skilled on I'm like "well damn now I really want to try his stuff" 💸💸💸💸😬
Dang, glad I bought all my gear, amps, cabs and extra tubes back when I did! Looks like I saved so much money!!!! 😋
I'm a hobby builder in halifax. I used to room with Dan's brother Jason. I'd love to check out Dan's setup some time but im sure he is flat-out
What about "Danble Amps"? Too close? 😁. Great show guys.
Does this mean Dr. Dan Tramble opened for Joe Satriani on Tone-Talk?!
Here's a retro-contest idea: For a matched quad set of 6L6's...
How many times did Dan say: "The thing is" ???

yes V2 as v1 you wouldn’t even be using it on the BE channel
@@tone-talk that’s what I thought! Thanks!
