Really good video, learned several new things, but also got reminded of things I learned the hard way after a number of failures during competitions. If you just starting in competition fast forward to the 31 minute mark and take in the points she makes like fix mistakes during a competition run even if this makes you get a disqualified. It's really binary either run a perfect round without losing points of treat it like a practice run and 1, 2 or 3 errors or a DQ is all the same actually if you train for long run success. Took me some time to get it but getting a DQ is better then not correcting a mistake and make the dog think this is ok during a competition run (but not during practice). And always end on a high note so even if all failed during a run, do some small exercises afterwards outside the ring and reward the dog for these.

Wonderful video! I learn so much from these. I have an interesting situation - small, slow dog (a beagle!), older handler (me). I have trained a running A frame since I can get in position before she reaches the end, stop on teeter, and variable stop on the dog walk! If I see that I can't get in the next position, I call out "Contact -Wait" and she stops, 2 on 2 off, at the end of the dog walk until I release her. Every second counts for us at our elite level. She is 100% reliable on it. Am I the only one who does this?

I am 71, with fast mini Aussie, I do exactly what you are doing. It's as good as it gets, we are constantly proofing contacts.
