I get the impression that the filters are pretty "wide". How many bars light up when you feed a 1 KHz sine wave to the filter PCB?
(Another thing is that I don't like the blue color of the display, but that is very personal, I think.)
Is there a way to adjust the release time of the LED bars? It looks pretty 'nervous' now...

i also notised the wide bandwith on the test... could have been a the signal generator as well...pretty cool as an party effect not tests gear ...too big for an rack mount

The wide bandwidth per channel is likely to make the visual effect better. If you have too narrow bands, they will be more nervous and unnatural looking. The release time will be due to the cap/resistor in the envelope follower. Guess you could change them?

I am running a studio and all I want is an indication of the actual spectral content.
Not a "visual effect"...
If you pretend to have a 1/3 octave analyser, the adjacent bands should not light up on a 1 KHz. tone! (anyway not very much)

No fused input. No earth connection to transformer or SMPS. Audio input should be isolated by 1:1 audio transformer.
