Thanks for the clear descriptions of both modes. I just bought a digital torque wrench and was confused about those mode operations. Like many who've commented, I've been using old school clicker type Snap-On torque wrenches for decades and have now modernized my toolbox.
@Lakeside Autobody Yeah, it is. Lots of flashy lights and nice beeps when you can't see the dial for feedback. But since AAA batteries are crappy nowadays, I always remove the batteries from tools I'm not using frequently. I've had so many batteries leak lately and mess up things that it's not funny.
You're really killing it with the product reviews lately Jerry! I'm old and still using tools from the late '70's- early '80's, but that doesn't mean I couldn't learn to use something like this. 👍
Hold down U to get it into the "mode" setting, then press up or down. If that doesn't work let me know. This video explains it a 1 minute and 40 seconds in - ua-cam.com/video/lTB9ySsaW2U/v-deo.html
What kind of battery or batteries does this torque wrench take? Great video review sir. I’m thinking about buying one of these Vanpro digital torque wrench. Please let me know sir. Thank you.
@@LakesideAutobody I guess mine was a different. Couldn't seem to turn it no matter what I did. Apparently, I had to hold the other side still and then I could reverse clockwise, else it was not budging at all. Works fine now
@@LakesideAutobody I will be spending the Holidays inventing a believable reason why I overlooked that. Thanks. In the meantime, I am really in the market for a version of this in 1/2". Any recommendations?

We'll see what they send me - might be right what you're looking for. Merry Christmas my friend and Happy New Year :)

Plus it's just more fun to use 👍🛠😊

That's pretty handy having all the units of measure at the push of a button! Thank you Jerry!
I thought so too - you don't have to have 3 torque wrenches laying around. Thanks for always watching JRS - I appreciate it :)
Makes the conversions easy !

You're right Jim. Like working on new cars.... it's actually pretty nice to have tools that tell you what's wrong with the car and where to look :)
Well explained the Track and Peak mode just what I was looking for. Thank you
You're welcome - a bit of a learning curve but easy once you get it :)
Clean, precise, simple and to the point. Good video. 👍
Glad you liked it - thanks for the kind words and support :)
Great video , I was trying to understand what was the usage of those two functions.
Glad it helped :)
Can you make a video on how to tig weld
I'll look into that GP - thanks for the suggestion and Happy Holidays to you and your family :)
Wow Jim I just bought a Mac torque wrench
It's a nice looking wrench isn't it?
How do you get the mode to change? When I press the arrows on mine it changes the desired torque setting, not the mode. Thanks.

Two AAA batteries - they come with the wrench too :)
That’s cool. Triple AA’s. We all have those batteries. I like 👍🏻 that’. I want to thank you so very much for letting me know and helping me sir. 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
@@FAMOUSSLICKRICK You're welcome FSR - have a good week :)
Thank you sir. You have a great week too. 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Any bad smell from the rubberized handle or the box it came in?
Nope - none at all :)
Are these any good been looking at the 1/2 drive
Yes, it's actually built very well. I'm a USA tool kind of person but this is a really nice wrench :)
How do you swith it off ?
It turns off automatically or you can hold the on button for a few seconds.
How to reverse it?
Turn the black dial on the back of the ratchet head to reverse - sorry I don't think I showed that :)

Looks way too short to use on V8 engines.
It's 3/8 drive so that's probably the reason for the length :) Happy Holidays :)
