I found this video encouraging and informative. Thank you! I started uploading a few months ago myself, and yes, it has been exactly what you were talking about here... overcoming fear, not feeling like everything has to be perfect with it... I subscribed because, even though I don't spend a lot of time outdoors, I do feel like helping to support other smaller channels is important. But also, if there are more videos similar to this one, and even ones that are informative about outdoor types of situations... I am looking forward to seeing what you have to share.
I watched this until the end, great, raw, vlog style...absolutely supporting this. The 21 day challenge sounds awesome, but I just saw this on my feed a few minutes ago, but, I'll do it. My channel is a drummer that mountain bikes, puts those elements together, and treats it like a mixing to mastering journey. And, that's what I need to start doing more of...those words right there. I have my upper arm screwed together, so my challenge to myself was to record, and go with it, and I was being myself, and then did the audio thing. Great job delivering your message, the views and comments say it all!
Wishing you much success. I have been too scared to put myself out there... finally want to take that step in 2025. Deep breaths... Thank you for your motivation... Happy New Year🎉
Awesome video! I took the plunge a little over a month ago, growth is slow but I keep plugging away! I’ve been posting about every day for a couple weeks now. I do think that is helping! Oh, I fish too so kudos to your channel! I’m hoping to be monetized this year sometime but in the meantime I’m just having fun! 😊 Oh and I just subbed to your channel!
To be monetized you need at least 1000 subs with at least 4000 view hours in the past year. So your goal is to post relevant content and gain subs in regular intervals, get traffic etc. Fishing is a good niche to start with, for those who are into it. You do get love, your video got to my suggestions and I got nothing to do with fishing. Good luck!
I appreciate you stopping in though and even coming in for a short conversation! I will be posting more stuff outside of Fishing utilizing other things that I’m passionate about on UA-cam can’t wait for that in the near future! Good luck, buddy
Hwres hoping you get monetized soon! It would be nice to get back to the way yt was in the beginning....people connecting with people about shared interests.
I feel you buddy. I just started a youtube channel as a new year resolution and I don't know if I'll keep posting to be honest. I wish you the best bro. Keep it up!
@@MapleBaguette-zz6ub I appreciate that! I truly would put more focus on to it and be more consistent if life doesn’t get in the way of that makes sense! Thank you for stopping by tho man!
Invest in a better microphone, camera, and lighting. audio is going to be really important. If no one can hear your content, they aren't going to stick around. if your content has a beginning, middle and end, that resembles the hero's journey (your journey) it will help keep people engaged with your content. Even if you have to write out a short transcript, don't be afraid to use AI to help you stay organised. I will be using my channel to showcase my art techniques and my personal journey as an artist/painter. I have an AA in Digital Media and Graphic Design, so, my goal for 2025 is to put that knowledge to good use. I am subscribing to your channel because I want to see your progress and support your journey. Keep it real. Happy New Year! Let's make it productive.
Man that means so much I appreciate the input and all the information I do plan on trying to get a better Mike now that I’m thinking about it more! I look forward to looking at your channel and will subscribe to you as well. I’m all about the support here. Thank you again.!
@@watsontv13 I'm cheering for you! If you haven't read the Hero's journey, I recommend it. Even if you aren't writing a novel, it is helpful for every aspect of your life especially for people creating content.
@@1118emporium I wasn't criticising him. The audio is okay, but could be better. If he wants to create a channel to draw more people in, then eventually getting better equipment is key. There is technical equipment that will make for a better viewing experience. It sounds like he really wants to make his channel grow and he can take the advice or leave it.
if you wanna see success you have to be more consistent with your videos, and you also have to make your content as high quality as possible, with lots of tags and hashtags and keywords, thats how ive been able to grow to about your subscriber count in two years (taking breaks in between) it does suck though when you dont get views for putting hard work into a video
Thank you for the information and stopping by for a short conversation! I’m gonna take all this in and start working even harder on my channel than I’ve ever done before I look forward to hearing back from you and checking out your channel as well!
@@watsontv13 you just gotta crack at the algorithn, maybe even upload different content until you see something that works, if you make uploading almost daily, Im sure you will get to monetization much quicker
Yeah, that’s weird. I don’t know why they would send you that lol but I’m into a lot of stuff outdoors, which I don’t know if you’re into fishing and things like that, but maybe that could be why not sure.
1. Simplify your titles, theyre too obscure. If its about fishing, just say "This is How I Caught The Best Fish"! YOU CAN EXPLAIN MORE IN YOUR DESCRIPTION. You gotta dumb it down. I think the algorythm doesnt know where to push your vids out and the viewer serch also becomes narrowd down. 2. Bigger bold fonts on the thumbnails BUT as soon as i got rid of my thumbnails, i grew fast. 3. I would narrow down your channel theme. I think girls can get away with a vlog or lifestyle branding but if i were you, I would go with something more specific like; "Fishing" or "Hobbyist" " Equiptment Reviews"...dudes like that stuff.. And yes, a microphone, stellar studio set up, good ambiant lighting. Im always looking at other channels studio decor, most really put a lot of thought in background lighting and decor. Study the channels you like best and follow exactly what they do. As soon as i did this i grew very very fast. Goid luck. The Hobbyist Guy.
I've been doing videos on UA-cam since 2008. no monetization. The algorithm doesn't recommend me... probably because I used to post things that are so random, but recently it's mostly AI music that I write the lyrics for. Still 16 years is a long time to do anything.
@@watsontv13 Maybe that's why you're not monetized. Because instead of sticking with one channel and trying to grow it you give up and start new ones. UA-cam isn't gonna monetize a channel with only 350 subs and an average of 500 views. UA-cam isn't "changing" because you're not getting monetized. You're not getting monetized because it's not worth it for Google to monetize you.
im about to be monitized in the next few days and i have about 3300 subs i have been on youtube 16 years my channel went from 460 subs to 3300 subs in the last 7 days. i have no explanation. review brah from the report of the week has millions of subs and he claims making it on youtube is 99% luck. i believe him. there is no shortcut, no right or wrong way to make videos just take your smartphone turn on the camera and start recording that is all you need to do. i know this comment will help your channel and mine. i watched your video to the end. i subscribed and liked. my channel is about everything no unique niche. seinfeld is a show about nothing im a channel about anything.

You know what I mean I think it has more to do with the algorithm that Too puts out. Thank you for the sub and the support.
Just because the current public video is 4 years old doesn’t mean they haven’t been posting for 10 years. They could have made past videos private as many people get better at their skills and find their old content cringy. Also the first video is titled ‘new channel…’ So they most likely had a previous channel with different niche content. YT algorithm prefers specific niche channels rather than jumping from topic to topic.
