I doubt that the majority of photographers tether or have the ability to tether during a photoshoot, so although it was helpful to watch that black and white conversion, I would have preferred a more “conventional” approach with some more information for the average photographer. Still, thank you for the insight to how you create your style in black and white.
In Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) that does the raw processing in Lightroom Classic (LrC - as the Develop tab) and Photoshop (Ps - noticeably as plug-in), I would shift the "Black Point" right. White Point and Black Point adjustment in ACR works in a transparent-to-me way, not so in C1.

I love when you two work together. Thanks guys.
I attended this tonight, and it was very educational and a lot of fun to see how Daniel creates B&W's in camera.
Thanks Daniel, Seth, and Kaydance.... Yes, Kaydance is Beautiful....
Another fantastic entertaining and educational session! Thank you!!!
THAT was an awesome stream! The „Danamic Sou“! I learned and laughed a lot. Thank you two (and Kadence and the others)
Thanks. I always enjoy B&W portrait videos.
That was pretty masterful Dan.
I thought there was no way you would get that black bow to work 👌👏👏
This was Great as usual ThankYou Three !!!!!!!!!!!!
she's so pretty..... Love B/W work myself!!
Thanks for sharing.
I subscribed and liked 👍
Said it all about color checker! Why should we be so precise, when someone will certainly put an crazy filter when posting the picture?

We can see the reflexion of the flash light in her eyes. is that intended?
What is the diameter of the used beauty dish?
I want to rent the adorama event space for a studio shoot....🤣
Black, C1, and Nikon Z 6(ii). The 24MP Nikon has an OLPF and this may just be the reason you could not get pure black.
