Cristina Hernandez 2022 Scholarship Gala Speech

Cristina Hernandez was born in McCall, graduated from Meridian high school, and will graduate from The College of Idaho with a degree in Biomedical Science and minors in Psychology & Health, Spanish, Communications, and Pre-Med. She was selected as the 2022 Scholarship Gala student speaker and shared her remarkable story of perseverance, work-ethic and determination. From a medical condition that resulted in spending some of her childhood in a wheelchair, to helping her mother recover from being shot with a bullet when Cristina was a teenager, her experiences have led her to pursue a career in medicine, so she can help others. She is grateful for the scholarships that helped her arrive at the College and for the opportunities the College has opened for her.
