@@jeremyc5882 I’ve watched JM for years. He won’t waste his time on folks who don’t want help & Son wasn’t interested in any help except with his rap career. I don’t think you’ve watched this show cuz you’ve overlooked all the times JM has interrogated addicts & thugs & told parents he can’t help someone who doesn’t want it. He smoked out Mom & Son right away. He def wasn’t impressed with Mom’s recovery or her sly mention of her son’s brilliant lyrics. JM won’t be played. Period. If you’re gonna come to him, come to him correct: honest, penitent, humble & self aware. Mom & Son failed his test. She mentioned tough love, but all she asked for was JM’s influence in promoting Son’s rap career. He totally didn’t buy Son’s story about how he supported his children (told Mom her son was selling drugs, which, with all her experience, she should have known. But she was too focused on her own accomplishments to believably claim that she had resumed her maternal responsibilities as JM told her. They didn’t want help. They wanted publicity. Nope. In fact, I was impressed at how quickly JM cut Moms off from giving her speech about how wonderful she is & then, with blunt & rapid questioning, exposed her son’s criminality. Once he learns that Dad is not taking care of his kids (he’s repeating his mother’s inadequate parenting), JM will wash his hands. Mom was in court asking JM for the wrong thing-evidence of her retaining her crackish ways. That’s quintessential Mathis!

JM was definitely on point with this one. And peeped through their game. How secretive and sketchy they were, then have the nerve to cry for help, and tough love, meanwhile, trying to get some clout, and publicity on his lyrics and dance moves. What a complete embarrassment and disgrace. It’s one thing to tell your story and overcome, but it’s another thing to surround yourself back into the lifestyle that took you down to start with. All “you people” talking about how Judge Mathis was rude, need to stop being so naïve to the “game”.
