Really like how you did this. There is no way she can be biased. No explanation before hand. Didn’t even letter see the bottle and biased by bottle deigns. Perfect blind test.
To those watching, my first Bond fragrance purchase was Fire Island. I still love it to this day. My sister-in-law introduced me to the Bond line. I have to say, that introduction itself is the best "gift" she's ever given me! I (maybe I'm dumb) don't even bother with other fragrance lines--I just add to my Bond collection. My sister-in-law likes wearing one "signature" scent (she wears Saks Fifth Ave for Her--strong gardenia, I think). I am too fickle and in love with so many of the scents and like to change what I wear with my mood, the day, season, and the reason. Only bad thing, is it's an expensive "hobby" collecting fragrances from this line. I've been told many of the Bond fragrances layer well with others, so you can create your own custom blends and that "Chinatown" is one that easily layers. Perhaps that's next on my list. I do LOVE that Bond has so many unisex fragrances.
"Riverside Drive by Bond No 9 is a Woody fragrance for men. Riverside Drive was launched in 2003. The nose behind this fragrance is Maurice Roucel. The fragrance features pineapple, sandalwood, patchouli, violet, basil, oakmoss and cedar." (Just borrowed this description from Fragrantica) Riverside Dr is great stuff. Works well in warmer weather. ................... But my personal favorite Bond No 9 is still Great Jones. GJ is excellent for evening wear during spring, summer, fall, smells great for most social situations. Women and/or the general public all seem to like it.
Great video Steven actually this week I'm wearing Bond No 9 Moday was Manhattan, Tuesday scent of peace for him, today Wednesday new Harlem, Thursday its going to have to be Montauk, Friday chez bond, Saturday Andy Warhol I'm loving this one and finally Sunday Brooklyn.
I LOVE when you two get together! There is a real spark and fun to these that is so engaging. Fun to see where the blind sniffing leads and the final outcome. Just great. Montauk rocks!
Coney island...oh boy, where do I start.... This fragrance garners my respect, big time! It renders this summery, hanging out with family at the beach/salty sea-breeze type vibe. It opens up quite bold - has that margarita thing going for it, with a huge slice of lemon, not lime on the rim of your margarita. The one thing that really throws me off is that strong, somewhat incense-like seaweed/salt note. I feel like I'm holding a margarita in one hand, and cupping a good amount of seaweed in the other. It's somewhat strange, it's like a love/hate thing going on at once. The dry down is like the grandfather version of Versace Eros - it is very stately and mature. That is the best way I can describe it. After all the saltiness, seaweed and sea-breeze subside, the lemon jumps right back in to mix to tango with vanilla and a hint of chocolate. Anyone who's had a taste of Versace's Eros (dry-down only) will see the subtle similarity, but just slightly. Caution, this fragrance is NOT sweet at all, even in the dry-down. Overall, I give it MUCH respect, very polarizing scent especially for a gourmand lover such as myself.
Good stuff. I was personally rooting for Riverside Drive, and I was hoping she'd stick with that one, but fragrance is undoubtedly subjective. I've not smelled the Andy Warhol (face), but it gets a lot of love, so I was surprised by her dismissal of that one as well. In my opinion, Bond isn't the greatest house, but they have a few that I think are awesome (Scent of Peace For Him, Chez Bond, Bleecker Street, Riverside Drive, a few others). Love your channel, man! Cheers!
Nice video again, Steven. Although not a huge fan of Bond No9, Bleecker Street, Coney Island, New Harleem and High Line are fragrances I really like! The problem I usually find with Bond no9 is the sinthetic vibe many fragrances have. Take care, my friend.
Great review. I'm gonna have to try some more Bond no 9's. I have 2 now, Riverside Drive (which smells great, just like the young lady described), and my personal favorite Great Jones. Don't see a lot of reviews for Great Jones, it smells like vintage Paco Rabanne, lots of oakmoss, very good stuff.
I love how, at 11:35, Jen decides that she doesn't need to look away because she can't recognize the bottles anyway, and then immediately she recognizes the next bottle! LOLI've never tried any Bond No. 9 fragrance, but after this video, I know that I have to! :)
Man you have a lot of Bond scents! I've only ever tried a few, and have NH (which I'm falling out of love with), but I thought the general consensus of their stuff (from the community) was underwhelming. Good video either way!
Nice vid guys. I'm anxious to see your next battle. Well I'm not surprised cuz montauk is a crowd pleaser but Andy Warhol (Face) is my favorite one and close behind New Haarlem.
My wife had bond No. 9 Saks for the longest time and I used to think "what a funky looking bottle" I would always just brush it aside. this was before the real fragrance bug bit me :) She LOVED it. It was given to her as a gift from my mother. I would love to get it for her again. Sad you didn't showcase it here, but great vid nonetheless. -HP
rhaybans Hahaha.... awesome! I'm like that with some fragrances, too. There's a Tauer that I think smells like Red Bull and Hairspray. lol Thank you for watching!
You both should do a Bond No. 9 Beach scents review with Hamptons, Fire Island, Shelter etc. Great video. I need Sag and Shelter to finish the Bond beach scent line. Eau De NY is my fave of the beach scents with Coney #2
Great job u Knw bond is one of my top fav houses montauk , silver fact , and Warhol are my some of my top favs from the house plus those three bottle where Warhol and I've alwayed been and fan of Warhol just how different he was great Job
Great video and idea, but think a few that might stand up to Montauk (which I need to try, but hard to find) are Chez Bond, Scent of Peace for him, and my new favorite Bond Shelter Island. All are great scents! Got a bunch of compliments on Shelter Island the first time I wore it.
My favourites are Chinatown, New Haarlem and Silver Factory. I'm actually not a huge fan of Central Park West due to the heavy tuberose (although Chinatown is a white floral scent too the tuberose in it doesn't bother me like in most scents as it's not too noticable. I also like L'artisan's Chasse aux papillons.) I haven't tried out most of these as they are hard to find in the UK outside of London but if I'm ever in Harrods I'll check out Montauk.
Fun video. I love Bond fragrances, so I'm always looking for reviews and comparisons as I don't often get to boutiques or Saks to smell them, myself. Thanks for posting, and congratulations on your marriage (I assume by now.)--pretty ring and sweet dog, Duke!
This kind of thing happens in all types of hobbies where the guy focuses in on deeper level of the hobby so his preferences are more niche or avant garde. The lady although maybe familiar w the hobby, may not obsess over the hobby so may still like the mainstream items. Like for me, I like watches, and the specialized ones she doesn't like, but the entry level ones she likes. But anyways always entertaining to watch the relationship between you and spouse on these videos
Keep up the good work man your vids are perfectly put together and i should say most of us enjoy this kind of segments in your channel also could you maybe do a review on some hermes fragrances that would be great thank you
My best bond9 4men are: Bleeker.. Chez Bond Hamptons Washington Square Riverside drive Nouveau Bowery blended with Eau de new york and a splash of signature bond9....
As soon as I saw u pull out that "Mothers day" I knew she would love it! I bought Mother's Day for my girlfriend and she feel in love with that fragrance. I even got her 2 bottles! :0)
Thanks for the video!!! Very cool 👍🏻 my advice to you both is to use coffee beans between smelling of new scent 😉 although it's a not obligatory I think 😁
Nice, but the BEST Bond No. 9 fragrance IMO is Saks New York Oud (not New York Oud). #1 Saks New York Oud #2 Andy Warhol and Scent of Peace for Him #4-#97 Everything else (lol) Still, I enjoyed the sniff competition.
You guys are great, very nice review I'm a big fan of all your vids you have helped me tremendously in improving my collection. My wife loves you as well.
nice video.. I haven't tried that many bonds, but my favorite was New harlem.. and maybe second was i love ny.. Many of the others I didn't care for. Wow you got a lot of them.. You guys are all loaded in this community lol
Most Dope Hmmm... maybe I'll compile a list of my favorite date-night fragrances and have her battle them out! Thank you for the idea, and thank you for watching!
Yes. There's nothing wrong with that. As a matter of fact, the fragrance will last longer. Just don't spray on white clothing so it won't stain. Thank you for watching!
Andrei Mallare Yes! I'm waiting on two Tom Fords to come in the mail! I will be doing Tom Ford and Le Labo next, as long as Jenn agrees to do the videos! Haha... Thank you for watching!
Thank you for watching! I like Nuits de Noho because it reminds me of Thierry Mugler's Angel, but Chinatown is a beautiful and unique fragrance. Thank you for watching!
Hey, great video. I own bond no 9 Montauk, Costa Azzura by Tom Ford and bleu de Chanel and yes, to me this 3 fragrances are very familiar but bleu de chanel has the stronges grapefruit smell. It it just me or this fragrances are very similar ? ? ?
912alldaylong Hey, there! I have to agree with you. I certainly get the similarities. All three of those fragrances are definitely compliment getters. I can see why Montauk works so well in terms of compliments. Thank you for watching!
The Bonds My husband & I have in rotation right now are; Hamptons, Chez, Signature, Queens, Saks signature scent, Bleecker St, Cooper Square and Central Park West was a gift (I don't think I would ever buy it) I think I'm missing a couple more that my husband wears. I absolutely HATE all of the Bonds with Oud in them!!! Too over powering and entirely too woodsy for me.
I only have one Bond no 9 and that is Chez Bond but I buy samples all the time throughout the mail. How does Great Jones smell because I was going to order a sample and its tough to find?
Question, when you get a new cologne, sometimes the fragrances are not as potent as the sample you've sampled, how come is that???And is there a trick fix that problem????i just recieved Bleecker St. And the potency is much weaker then the sample, same thing with my Chez Bond...
Hey Steven! Awesome video. So, I have almost all I want from the designer fragrances but, I want to gift myself this year with a niche, price is not a problem. So, I've notice Your wife loves the same designer fragrances my wife does...which niche fragrance is Your wife's favorite over all? I already have Virgin Island water and Chergui. I think She got me Aventus for christmas, I think...! But, I would greatly appreciate it if You hook me up with an answer! Thank You, Happy Holidays!
Hey there. From the research I just did, they appear to be the same. There's no Midtown in Fragrantica's database, but Notino has Eau de NY named as Midtown as well. They appear to be the same. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
SHES HILARIOUS AND SO RAW AND HONEST
DUDE! Where's Bleecker Street?! That's one of my favorites. Will have to check out Montauk. Great video!
Bleeker Street is EVERYTHING! Where do you purchase your fave Bond?
I like vids with Jenn, nice to have the average Jane's take on perfume.
wagsbass Agreed! Thank you for watching!
Really like how you did this. There is no way she can be biased.
No explanation before hand. Didn’t even letter see the bottle and biased by bottle deigns. Perfect blind test.
Thank you so much!
This video brings back memories. I was wondering what Bonds you had but I'm sure you have added many more to your collection since this video.

Jose Gilberto Rodriguez Luna Wow! Great choices! I actually wore Montauk 2 days in a row. I wore it today as well. Thank you for watching!
I love the videos with your wife. Some of my favorite videos are seeing you two interact. Plus, she has a great name so what's not to like.
what about bleeckerstreet ?
I LOVE when you two get together! There is a real spark and fun to these that is so engaging. Fun to see where the blind sniffing leads and the final outcome. Just great. Montauk rocks!
Lanier Smith Thank you! Always great hearing form you! Montauk is indeed a great one.
Best women's Bond scent is " Saks For Her" Best mens for me is between " CooperSQ and New Harlem.
This guy has great taste!
Bleecker Street is a must-have! Brooklyn, Manhattan, Cooper Square, West Side, SOP, WOO!!! THIS will require a REMATCH!
You're absolutely right! Thank you for watching!
I love new York for all is my favorite gourmand hands down. you nailed it on the pretzel stand description
+Romeo Casido Thank you!
Coney island...oh boy, where do I start....
This fragrance garners my respect, big time!
It renders this summery, hanging out with family at the beach/salty sea-breeze type vibe.

The good times when u used to bring her on camera.
I need to bring her back!

Jim Slade Thank you so much for the kind words! Riverside Drive needs more attention in the community. I personally find it to be a very nice scent.
Nice video again, Steven. Although not a huge fan of Bond No9, Bleecker Street, Coney Island, New Harleem and High Line are fragrances I really like! The problem I usually find with Bond no9 is the sinthetic vibe many fragrances have.
Take care, my friend.
Thank you for this review on Bond n°9! Love the nyc themed fragrances. Fellow New Yorker. Gorgeous couple.
CC33777 I need to revisit Great Jones. It's been a long time since I've smelled it. Thank you for watching!

I like Chinatown myself. I think a confident guy can definitely wear it. And saved the best for last. Great review.
Chinatown for sure.. riverside and bleeker st and maybe a few others are my fav.. I dislike most the rest
Once in awhile when I wear Silver Factory I swear it smells like grape soda. Never heard anyone else make the same association. I feel validation!
rhaybans Hahaha.... awesome! I'm like that with some fragrances, too. There's a Tauer that I think smells like Red Bull and Hairspray. lol Thank you for watching!

Of the city/borough named ones, I feel that one is the worst 😬
Thanks for the video!!! Very cool 👍🏻 my advice to you both is to use coffee beans between smelling of new scent 😉 although it's a not obligatory I think 😁
Nice, but the BEST Bond No. 9 fragrance IMO is Saks New York Oud (not New York Oud).

Great video... I really want to make Bond No. 9' my 'favorite house.' Must try many in this list... Great 'House' review !!
Thank you very much!
Mr. G. Is it okay to spray fragrances on your clothes? That's the way I've always done it. I don't put it on my skin.
Yes. There's nothing wrong with that. As a matter of fact, the fragrance will last longer. Just don't spray on white clothing so it won't stain. Thank you for watching!
Redolessence
Thanks so much. Also, where can I find the niche fragrances?
Can you also do the Tom Ford private Blends? ;) I want to watch that
Andrei Mallare Yes! I'm waiting on two Tom Fords to come in the mail! I will be doing Tom Ford and Le Labo next, as long as Jenn agrees to do the videos! Haha... Thank you for watching!
No Chez Bond, Fire Island, Hamptons.
Matthew Guthrie I know! I have a sample of those, though. This video could have been so much longer!
what is the best bond n 9 perfume for women? thanks
Thank you for watching! I like Nuits de Noho because it reminds me of Thierry Mugler's Angel, but Chinatown is a beautiful and unique fragrance. Thank you for watching!
WEST SIDE
Redolessence Can a man wear Chinatown?
Hey, great video. I own bond no 9 Montauk, Costa Azzura by Tom Ford and bleu de Chanel and yes, to me this 3 fragrances are very familiar but bleu de chanel has the stronges grapefruit smell. It it just me or this fragrances are very similar ? ? ?
912alldaylong Hey, there! I have to agree with you. I certainly get the similarities. All three of those fragrances are definitely compliment getters. I can see why Montauk works so well in terms of compliments. Thank you for watching!
My favorite house. Would love to see you review New York Oud

Too over powering and entirely too woodsy for me.
totally about the oud or musk I find both very sharp headachy n synthetic when in thier frags
Aw man, no Scent of Peace for Him? Either way, thanks for the video!
What do you and Jennifer think of Hamptons, Scent of Peace for Him and Bleecker Street? Hope you're well
Really nice video, and great review!
Thank you!
I think Coney island has a weird hotdog smell in the background. I think it's tequilla though
I only have one Bond no 9 and that is Chez Bond but I buy samples all the time throughout the mail. How does Great Jones smell because I was going to order a sample and its tough to find?
Matthew Guthrie I have never smelled Great Jones! Thank you so much for watching my video!
Where is bleecker street?
You should add scent of peace to your collection;)
Love your channel!
Thank you so much!
great concept.. great video...
freddiephoto1 Thank you, Freddie! I appreciate your constant support!
Went to go look for Montauk & they don’t sell it anymore 😢
Which do you prefer out of chez bond and GIT?
old monkeyKing Enma I prefer GIT! Thank you for watching!
Hello Steven. is bond 9 midtown and eau de new york the same?
Hey there. From the research I just did, they appear to be the same. There's no Midtown in Fragrantica's database, but Notino has Eau de NY named as Midtown as well. They appear to be the same. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Success was another fav

I need to get my hands on them soon!
