Young Ben Solo is legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker's most promising pupil. But the Skywalker legacy casts a long shadow, the currents of the dark side run deep, and Darth Vader's blood runs in Ben's veins.

I was hooked. Man, this should have been the whole first movie in the sequel trilogy.
I feel like it would make an amazing animated series after they wrap up Bad Batch.

Uh... The best thing about them is that theyre over. And while i love the actor, and think he has incredible range, his Kylo Ren was terrible. I think he got inspiration from the guy who played Anakin. He copies him to a tee, just a better actor. And for the life of me i cant figure out why...? It would have been great if we got something like this comic. No idea why starwars can make amazing games and literature, but cant do shit with movies...

Meh, he's just wannabe Vader. Another Skywalker corrupted by Palpatine into killing all the jedi, wearing a mask, changing his name, serving as #2 for the Empire before getting a cookie-cutter redemption arc where he dies saving the desert planet hero from the emperor in a throne room showdown.
Good actor boring character. Kylo is as creatively bankrupt as the rest of JJ Abram's sequels.

The Knights of Ren in that opening scene had more screen time and development than in the entire sequel trilogy.

This is the Kylo Ren I wanted to see. The movies made him look like a pushover but in the comics he is truly worthy of his Skywalker heritage.
We needed more Ben Solo as a Jedi. Lucasfilm should make an animated prequel series set in the New Republic and Luke's Jedi Order instead of exploring between Episodes 3 and 4 for the trillionth time

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how much Tai seemed like he was trained by Legends Luke and not the Cannon one from episode 8? I mean seriously! He never gave up on Ben and only used violence as a last resort!

@@ultrashadow9551 My issue with those three Jedi they didn’t physically check for survivors they only say “They couldn’t sense anyone through the force” but how do they know if survivors were just unconscious instead of being dead god I hope there survivors either wasn’t at temple site or off world but yeah Tai had wisdom and his heart is in the right place too bad he didn’t take charge when things about to be heated. Also looking at Disney canon Luke Jedi order I’m not impressed and Legends Luke Jedi order is way better considering in Kylo point of view it just seems Luke was the only Jedi master training them as kids where are the other adults Jedi masters like in legends Luke first class of students were adults or older so what the hell happen?

I initially imagined Ren having the voice and cadence of Kurt Russell, but after considering the Knights of Ren’s space biker aesthetic, I think an Aussie accent may be a good choice for Ren, to evoke Toecutter from Mad Max, or real life criminal Chopper Read.
The Kiwi accent that a lot of Mandalorians have is distinct enough from Aussie imo, and we already have a character with an Aussie accent (Krennic from Rogue One) so the precedent is set for scumbags to have an Aussie accent in the Star Wars universe.
If you ever need someone to put cool stereo effects and force sounds in stuff like this let me know

I wonder what would happen if Ben Solo ignore the voices in his heads and just go to his mom? we never got a Ben and Leia moments could have lead to a different story in the Disney trilogy I imagine he be a new republic solider/pilot probably cut himself to the force and be the protagonist of the new trilogy.

It’s a shame that this comic dub was done prior to the announcement of Christian slater voicing Ren in lego Star Wars terrifying tales. On side note, after hearing the news of said announcement and reading Ren’s dialogue from this comic, the idea of him sounding like JD from the original heathers movie is surprisingly fitting.

Well, he was born on Chandrila, the old capital of the New Republic, @Jacob . But Leia, and he, did move to Hosnian later, I guess? Mostly though, it served as Leia's home - whilst in government.
And I don't think Ben spent much time there.

Hey @The Lore Master where did the jedi get their kyber Crystals for their lightsabers after Ilum/Starkiller Base was destroyed?
Just thought I’d try answering it, kyber crystals can be found in many other places, ilum was just the most obvious place. Places like lothal, Jehda before it became half a planet, crystophsis (spelling) from the clone wars movie, and possibly a handful of other places. they probably found them during their own training to become Padawans, after all a crystal can be known to call out to its user, as shown during the Padawan arc from season 5 of the clone wars
