welcome to the Jets . always loved Forte . he's not what he used to be(legit top 5) but he's still better than half the league . welcome to GangGreen. great all purpose back
Smooth player with quick cutbacks great versatility, even at his age I think he has at least a couple more years in his tank. He has really good hands, especially catching in the back field. I definitely could see New England or Seattle taking huge interest in this guy. Interested to see how it plays out with him.
You mean a team widely considered to be a top 5 team last year? The team that was a game and a half away from winning the division away from the Patriots? The team with the most productive WR tandem in the NFL? A team that finished with a top 5 defense and a top 10 offense? That new york jets team? Are we thinking of the same one? Do you just not watch football or are you a Patriots fan? The fuck out of here.
Wil Brown widely considered to be a top 5 team lol where bro new York? so your saying that they are better than the packers,pats,broncos,cards,panthers,cheifs,Steelers,Seahawks.....lol no fam
+Drew Redard wow, congrats. You memorized the list of the teams that made the playoffs. And yes, I'm saying we were better than a lot of those teams. Green Bay was not that good, we beat the Patriots for 7 quarters in the regular season, we were considered one of the better rounded teams last year heading into playoffs. The analysis was done on the strength of our defensive line (which is one of the best in football) compared to the offensive lines of our opponents in the afc. Nearly every team was weak on o line in some way. We were absolutely more rounded than a lot of the teams that entered the playoffs. Just because teams habe good qbs, doesn't mean they're not beatable in other areas. Rodgers had trouble with lack of targets and brady wasn't that good at all because of his o-line. Again, do you not watch football, or what?
+Wil Brown Brady wasn't good at all? Brady was second in MVP voting.... Rodgers had troubles? Ya but the whole offense did and he still did better than fitzy boy and 90% of qbs this year. there is no way that the jets are even top 10 and they're losing people fast so they won't be close to last year, and sadly Fitz was probably your best player on offense and he leaving, Ya Matt forte is good but he's not better than ivory and guess what ivorys gone too
+Drew Redard we just resigned Powell and took Khiry Robinson away from New Orleans. Our backfield is infinitely better than it was last year already. Robinson was a fan favorite in NO for good reason. Trust me, dude. You don't know what you're talking about. Ivory was dead weight. There's a reason his contributions got smaller and smaller as the games went on. Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in football. There's no denying that. I like the guy a lot. However, green bay wasn't that good this year. The stats show it. They just weren't. Tom Brady is always in the running for MVP because he's Tom Brady. But honestly, his offensive line was garbage. That's why we beat them. If brandon marshall doesn't drop that 4th quarter td pass in the first game, we would've beaten them twice. Seriously, you won't find a serious analyst that doesn't think the jets were a top ten team. We will be again this year. Guaranteed. Sounds like you pats fans are worried.
Come on Denver, pick him up, he would fit great in Kubiak's run oriented offense and would compliment CJ BashAnderson very well, time we get rid of RunRonnieRun Hillman.
I'm not sure what your trying to say here, Denver needs someone who can work in unison with CJ BashAnderson, being that Matt is on the latter part of 30 it would be smart for him to find a team that isn't going to entirely rely on him, and with CJ plus a great defense, that's exactly what the case would be if he were to go to Denver, any team would be lucky to have him, not just teams who are in dire need of running backs, Matt has even said he could see himself playing for us, unfortunately despite this I don't know if we could afford to pick him up due cap space.
I suppose he could, but with CJ BashAnderson and Kubiak's style of offense, I see more of a shared work load rather than Matt as the main work horse, that's just what I think, we would have to see if he decides to come to Denver, he would probably get the better half of the snaps but again not sure, (thanks for clearing up what you were trying to say by the way, I can see/understand your point of view
That's what I've said in my past few comments, I think we should not only let go of Manning, (which would free up nearly 20 million in cap space), but DT as well, he hasn't produced anything since we signed him to his big contract, that would save around another 15 million, then we release Vernon Davis, Ronnie Hillman which combine for nearly 4 million, plus some lower string guys and would could probably afford him along with CJ BashAnderson, while also bringing other key starters back to our defense, but I doubt we let go of DT.
Welcome to New York baby ✈️✈️
Matt Forte is Extremely skilled at cutting in my opinion and I think he will make us forget Ivory ever existed if he keeps it up. 8/10
I don't know if we'll forget about Ivory existing but low key kind of forgot Miami had a defense
Welcome to Jet Nation!
I cannot emphasize how happy I am that Matt Forte went to the Jets instead of the Packers or Patriots.
Back with Brandon Marshall, when they originally had a team together. It feels good to have him on the Jets.

He is going to fit nicely in Gailey's system.

we finally have a GM we go and gets playmakers. great signing by him and it takes a lil pressure off our QB situation
who goes
You can split him out wide, you can pass protect with him, you can put him in the slot, he's a very dangerous weapon...
gonna miss you in a Bear jersey... still a huge fan though.
I'd like to see him in that star!
Now you guys have Forte and Marshall.... the Bears better make up for this! btw Wish you guys the best, I'm going to miss Forte

Yeah, I get what your saying, but again I don't know if we can even pick him up due to lack of cap space
+Error Games Cj Anderson is also a free agent and with all of Denver's free agents Elway will only be able to pay either Forte or Anderson, not both
