Thank You so much! I didn't get the Acura. The I am using the Buick fairly regularly, it's been doing great. I'm going to try and get another video out on it.
Usually the kiss of death for cars like these are oil leaks. The gaskets are cheap but the labor is a killer and most people don't want to pay $1,000 plus to fix a 20-30 year old car even if they're nice otherwise.
@@highmileagehopes9860 Sure. I’ve rented cars in both England and France over the years, and all of them were manuals. Incidentally, right-hand drive takes a lot of getting used to
Annnnd there's one of the muscle shirt and snapback donning reprobates I spoke of. Do you realize how many of these have been ruined by the "I work at McDonalds and sell weed on the side" demographic? Cars this old are investment pieces nowadays and should stay stock unless it's period correct modifications or something done to get around a mfg defect/NLA part.
That Camry looks like my old one. It did not have that sound though. Loved it AC worked great. Was a tank too. I had a bad leak, drove in on the freeway to the mechanic’s. He told me my engine was bone dry of oil, but it never overheated. 😢
Man 300 on the Toyota Yaris and when for $2100 that's a lot in dealer action it will go for $500 believe me l seen the prices just get wholesale dealer license and it doesn't cost a lot than you will be amazed how cars are cheapest l did the same thing but after l went to the dealer action my whole life changed
I know, that’s the difference in public auctions and dealer auctions. I was in a dealership for many years and really great deals can be had like you say. Unfortunately in Washington they stopped issuing wholesale licenses.
I'm guessin' that they, (the auction), have approved the structure of the frames, from rust.... That's my main concern -as well as the drive train ... A courier from a parts distribution site - drives to Airports and has had a few of those Windstar mini vans, his old one had over 750,000 miles on it, he said he changes the oil every 5 weeks or so. Highway miles are good on transmissions ...if the fluid is full and not burnt (right)..... who knows, maybe that old girl still has some miles ( to go ) on her!
lol rust in the PNW, good joke. Thing you gotta look out for there is dregs of society stealing your shit. Gotta killswitch any car you really care about.
@@carbaccord You're right, didn't realize the PNW doesn't salt the roads like here in the Northeast- Here's a cut n paste from a car enthusiast : I was born and raised there and the PNW is a good place to buy cars. They don't salt the roads on the WEST side of the Cascades, but they do on the east. So you still turn up cars with that kind of salt damage that have made there way to the west side. Cars up there still get rust, it's just in different places. Think puddling water from non-stop raining, and rotting pine needles, leaves, etc. (it's full of trees up there). Look for inside-out rust in the vent cowls, doors (needles plug up the drains at the bottom then the door fills with water), and rear window leaking causing truck rust. A common problem is floor board rust from the inside out when the cowl fails and rainwater starts piling up under the carpets.
It's an AS-IS auction with no guarentes of any kind so you really have to check them over. Luckily here in Washington state the cars don't rust out like other parts of the country but you have to look for leaks and other damage. It can be a gamble. Nice to hear about the mileage on the Windstar vans. I have a 95 Windstar with 240,000 had it for years and it's great.
It was the coolest thing in the video, that's for sure. It stayed nice because I was told it was owned by a guy since it was about 2 years old until now.
I love the purple and yellow GMC truck.
The olds bravada was a blazer in a tuxedo.
Well said!
My neighbor, has a 2010, with well over 300,000 miles.
missed your videos, love you comments and coverage acura is great. hope you buy it, any updates on the buick ?

You got that right!
Echo, would now be called a Yaris.
That it would!
Honda Motors are second to none, they build race car motors.
same with the Mercury Mountaineer., vs. Ford Explorer.
awd vs. 4wd.
I had a 2001 Focus ZX3, i had nothing but problems with it.
I have not owned a Focus before.
Regarding the Yaris. That’s really only a thing in the US. The vast majority of cars in Europe are manuals.
That’s great information, thank you for sharing!

I had a 2015 Yaris, that was built in France.
I didn't know they made them there, now I do!
the 4.3 l is a 350 with two cyls. lobbed off.
Good fact.
Wow, that Integra! Shame it's an automatic, but still that is insanely clean.
Yeah the AT is probably why it hasn't been ruined by the wifebeater/snapback demographic. "Shame" my ass.
swap it bro

I agree!

They are great quality cars!
I had a 90 sedan Integra i like sedans better than the coupes
This is why I cant go to the auction I would have tried to buy all of them.
I get that for sure!

Make a bid.

or a GMC Jimmie.
Oh Yes.
Weebs nationwide are creaming themselves over an 90s Integra selling that low!
You know that they are haha.
Should've bought the Integra, Thing was perfect. Everything else you previewed was just boring OBDII junk in my opinion.
