I used to think this too but it's a sad reflection of our current world that it has become about clicks, streams and traction. This is an undeniably beautiful classics regardless of numbers.
Wow wow wow, the depth of a voice when it's sung from the soul is immeasurable. It's eternal and profound. Thank you for all you bring to the world, just magic. ❤
Everything I’ve heard from this newest album is just absolutely killer! I think they’ve captured something really special this go around. I’ve always thought her vocals were fantastic, but there’s something that clicks about the songwriting this time that is just wonderful.
Likewise, Tommy brought me here but I've stayed and listened a good few times over and shared the shit out of this truly powerful song, words, imagery and so much more. GRMMMA❤. Fair play
I think it’s: Over the water Was the land of my other oh The land of my other oh The land of another Cross the water Was the land of my father oh The land of my mother oh The land of my others The land of my others oh From the altar They held a match to the mother Mary lied to your mother She lies for another In the warzone He’d die for another oh Heed the land of my father Heal the heart of my mother The heart of my mother oh *flute* ‘tween the glories Oh how those stories go In the mind of my other oh Keeps a hand on the others In the waking Oh how the lost were taken Heal the heart of my children oh Keep a watch on my others Keep a watch on my others oh Keep a watch on my others A watch on the others, etc…
The repeated “oh” is probably supposed to be like “-o”… a lot of Irish and English language folk music from Ireland adds an -o to words to make them more… I don’t know, important? Poetic? In the Irish language, we add an “a” at the start of a name or a noun when we’re addressing them/it to show respect… so, my name is Billy and people would address me as “a Bhilly” (👂ah Villy)… which translates to “O Billy” in English, “O” is like an announcement signifier… and I think that’s where it comes from when Irish and other Celtic people are singing in English, my other-o, my father-o, my mother-o, my children-o… it’s like… making them more blessed or something.
The sound quality in the video is fantastic. Fitting for such a brilliant performance. Bravo the pair of you. Thank you.

Hat eine starke Sogwirkung und die Zeit steht respektvoll stramm und lauscht...

I think it’s:
Over the water
Was the land of my other oh
The land of my other oh
The land of another
Cross the water
Was the land of my father oh
The land of my mother oh
The land of my others
The land of my others oh
From the altar
They held a match to the mother
Mary lied to your mother
She lies for another
In the warzone
He’d die for another oh
Heed the land of my father
Heal the heart of my mother
The heart of my mother oh
*flute*
‘tween the glories
Oh how those stories go
In the mind of my other oh
Keeps a hand on the others
In the waking
Oh how the lost were taken
Heal the heart of my children oh
Keep a watch on my others
Keep a watch on my others oh
Keep a watch on my others
A watch on the others, etc…
