It annoys me that people act like getting rid of DNA in the late game of mime/baron builds is a good strategy. That extra guaranteed steel king can make or break or break a blind in the higher antes when hand size becomes the biggest limitation, especially when you have brainstorm/blueprint and you are getting 2/3 guaranteed steel kings.
Is there a reason everybody only dupes kings because theyre worth the same as queens and jacks and worth 1 chip less than aces so why does everyone always do kings
The brainstorm was in the boss blinds shop, you only go to shops for blinds you don't skip, you didn't skip the big blind so you went to the big blinds shop. If you did skip you wouldn't have gone to any shop before the boss blind.

I played the seed & got to Ante 16, Round 49 (I took the early heiroglyph). Mid-game I got Hologram & got it to x12.75 before swapping it for... Baron I think? Idk I'm tired. I got negative on the brainstorm, then a blueprint that negative'd with an ectoplasm & I was copying a red seal, holographic, steel king of hearts. I ended up with over 130 of the things. Then I took out a DNA for a holographic brainstorm (thanks to negative Showman) & double brainstormed the Baron & blueprinted the Mime. Because ofthe colour of the boss's banner, when I got to the Amber Acorn at ante 16 my brain defaulted to "Oh, it's the play 5 cards boss" & I messed up the run. Highest scoring hand for me was 1.028e30, with 44 high cards played. It's a good seed indeed, but my brain is on low power as it's nearly 5am.
@@ArcienPlaysGamesHologram and basically every joker that gives mult, xmult and chips in endless is completely useless. Even if you multiply your score by x10 that's just nothing. You need that extra joker slot for a real lategame joker. In normal games I agree that hologram is the goat.

Tip I just learned... you have to unlock the "Invisible Joker"... following this video early in your gaming will get you the "Baseball Card" and two "DNA". Cool seed tho... good fun.
Dam, I almost lucked into this run just a few hours ago 😂😂 Managed to get 3 DNA with hologram + steel joker and breezed theough the game. I wish I hadnt settled on cloning Aces bc I actually passed a Baron on that run when I was too committed to pivot 😂 Ended the game with 74 Aces in the deck
8:25 I think from what ive seen on other channels that do seeded runs, I'm pretty sure the shops go by the ante. So the negative was always going to apply to the first shop in ante 4, regardless of which ones you visited in 3
The negative tag applies to the next shop you visit. Had he skipped the large blind he would also have skipped its shop. Meaning that the person’s info was correct in the run but he was being a silly goofy guy and got a little mixed up lmao
Four Fingers can "help" with a flush five. The fifth card can be a different suit. Same goes for flush house. Unfortunately, it won't count a "flush four" as a flush five though :(
Pretty sure putting blueprint in the left corner, then mime lets both it and brainstorm copy the mime, which is better than copying baron. So higher than e26 is possible.
I not that great at Balatro, just beat the game with 4 starting decks, and I have no idea wtf is goin on with the blue and red seals, but its beautiful to watch

I'm confused on why you wouldn't keep Hologram; you're getting +1x mult each time you proc DNA which seems like it would easily outscale Baron, would it not?
A scaled holo is still just one instance of multiplication. 8 kings in hand is 1.5^8 or 25X. This becomes even crazier when you add retriggers. Retriggering them all once is 1.5^16 or 656X. Mime plus red seals is three triggers or 1.5^24 which is 16,834X lol
You could have continued. You have 4 hands. Play 3 of them without moving jokers. You copy 5, play one and boss discards 2. So each hand played gives you an extra card in hand. Playing 3 times copying 5 and your last (4th) hand would be big enough. Move the jokers then and you could have continued
it was negative so there was no reason not to keep it because it gives you move money for temperance and also good for the one ante 8 boss where it forces u to sell one of your jokers @PokiePhD
@@ValAllenSamonte Yeah but if you play flush five, you will get a massive chip bonus when compared to other hands because the thing with high card is it is so leveled up that the most you're getting from further leveling it up is the amount of chips added per throw (from only 10 at lvl1 to 680 at lvl 68) and the closest thing next to it in terms of chip generation is flush five. And so even with low chip gain, you'll still multiply it enough times to pass the boss blind with $125 still in the pocket. But maybe I'm missing something here, lemme know what you think :D

At 14:03 why didn't you use two death cards? I don't really understand it. Is it in case you want to use the death card for something else in the future?
In the later antes, any joker that gives chips, mult and even x mult doesn’t really matter, as the scores get so big that even a x5 doesn’t matter. Hologram is good for normal runs, but in this case it doesn’t really have an effect.
A lot of these "how good is" videos just boil down to "how good is a minmaxed deck" and the answer is, unsurprisingly, really freakin good. A deck full of polyglass aces or kings is pretty obviously just optimal. I feel like exploring seeds that suck ass might be more interesting. Show us a funny Omelette run or a winning facecard run on abandoned
I've never understood the "need for something to help through the boss blind" for ante 1, I always go with 2 or 3 flushes and it usually covers me lmao
2 or 3 flushes is lost money. You gain $1 for each unused hand, so that's why he wants to do it in one shot, since he can sell the score joker later and make profit.
I think in the final hand, you could have just reordered the jokers so that you get the blueprint / brainstorm on the baron and mime immediately for the first hand. You did an extra hand just to get the copied DNA like before, but that ends up being worse since you ended up having to discard extra Kings due to the boss modifier.
The blue seal creates a planet card for the hand played if it's held iin hand at the end of the run. That's why he left it in hand earlier in the game.
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure Four Fingers enables you to get Flush Five if 4 of the Ranks are the same suit. Played hand: 4 Ace of Shade and 1 Ace of Diamonds = Flush Five. Not that that is really even worth it.
4 fingers vs flush 5 you need to have 5 of the same rank but only need 4 of the same suit for example 4 king of hearts and 1 king of spades would be a flush 5 instead of 5 of a kind with 4 fingers

This is a seeded run specifically for a huge score like this. It rarely happens in normal runs. Although if you watch his recent videos, you'll see a huge score in a natural game on gold stake. I think it was on his stream 3 days ago.
Wasn't the last round played badly ? If you arranged your jokers to score, you would still have 3 DNAs, and mime would be copied 2 times, much more valuable than having 2 more cards being rerolled no ?

@@Not_Matt People don't understand how weak hologram will be when you are at e15+. Even if hologram was at x50 it would be weak compared to many x1.5 retriggers. That's why Mime and Baron are so much better than Holgram for score in this instance. x50 sounds big, but it's not. Multiply x1.5 a lot of times and it's a lot more.
It's the same thinking like when people think two 5 inch pizzas are more than one 9 inch pizza when in fact it's about 2/3s of the amount of pizza. If you play games with very high exponents, you'll quickly realise how these numbers scale. 1e15 multiplied by two is 2e15. 1e16 is 10 times bigger than 1e15, not 1 times bigger.

@jonahmckouen1848 this is because of a card known as "Baron" that gives 1.5 xmult per king (double effect if there's a red seal on the card)

No, shops are queued for the whole ante. But clearing boss blinds moves you up an ante, so that's where it was.

Probably already known but if you skip the rare and negative tag on the ante you missed you can get a negative blueprint followed by brainstorm
I think because of steel, copying the mime twice with the brainstorm and the blueprint should have been the way to go, but my math could be wrong
