      Ethan Hamilton the Brontosaurus never existed back in like 130 years ago two so called "scientists" were hella greedy and wanted to just ended up putting random dinosaur parts together and one of the scientists " Othanial Charles Marsh" was reconstructing a Apatosaurus but used the head of a Camarasaurus to complete it and two years later excavators sent him the real head of the Apatosaurus which he instead of realizing was the head of a Apatosaurus called it a Brontosaurus and just ran with it.

    • @grantocallaghan2584
      @grantocallaghan2584 11 років тому +2

      Yea he was close though, its called the corpus collosum and if you get it surgically removed you function a lot differently. The surgery is used to treat seizures or something

    • @switz6141
      @switz6141 11 років тому

      I just began dissecting sheep brains during an anatomy course's study of the brain, and so certain parts I could tell he was off, but some parts I wasn't entirely certain on. Had he been right, his idea of having to try to pick up something with the left half if you really need something with the right half, both somewhat confused me, and psyched me out, just on the concept alone.

    • @AstralDragoon
      @AstralDragoon 11 років тому

      Grant OCallaghan
      It functions in distributing signals between the hemispheres to improve coordination of the brain's activity. Cutting it reduces the firing of nerves across the hemispheres, which dampens seizures. However, the path from your brain to your limbs doesn't depend on it; the motor neurons go straight from the motor centers to the brain stem.

      Frost Archer haha you misunderstood my point - my point is that he was right (as we can agree) on a very simple and ambiguous level - but the fact is he can use such ambiguous language and still express the principle in roughly the right and more importantly entertaining way is ingenious. We all know he would of course know how magnets work.

    What gavin said about the west and east actually was correct, technically. Lemme explain. There is technically no e ast or west, just left or right, or foreward or backward, depending on where your are facing. Because the most eastern place or the most western place on earth is infinity, because you will eventually be back at the place you started at. The end, thank younvery much. Cookiesmfor every one!

    It's actually sort of annoying how Burnie is reacting to all of this. Most of the information that Gavin gave is 100% correct. The east and west poles being created if we changed the rotation of the earth is accurate, he even showed with his hands correct directions for it. I'm not sure about the fake dinosaur, but I know that ones have been found in the past that are really two dinosaurs (idk about the specific one he was talking about though). And that bit about the brain is correct too, if you cut the hemispheres apart, your right eye can only send info to your right hand, and vice versa

    is it strange that everything he said made sense to me?

      Trying to figure out whether the people who upvoted this comment were agreeing with the fact that understanding everything Gavin said was strange, or that these people upvoted because they also understood all of what Gavin said. e_e I'm overthinking this, I think.

    Y'all realize this is a SHORT, right? Meaning it was written and scripted? Of course Gavin isn't that dumb. He was acting.

      +Breizh Butler Actually the interviews like this aren't scripted, they just cut out all the bits where Gavin actually knows what he's talking about.

      +EatGameSleep No... Go back and watch the other one, America Vs England, and try telling me that wasn't set-up. They might be done as improv as opposed to scripted but they are *definitely* in character.

    Gavin is actually pretty smart, but I think he has problems with getting his words out. He talks fast and his thoughts run faster, and he tries to keep up, thus the jumbled up words.

    It almost seems that Gavin knows what he's talking about but he can't speak his mind due to the inability to come up with coherrent english sentenses. I can relate to this, man does my spelling suck.

    • @brendanb7222

      It is but it isn't. None of the answers are scripted, however they only put in the funny answers. It wouldn't be entertaining if he got them all right.
