Michael Alig spearheaded a countercultural youth movement based on the concept of the Warholian "anti-Celebrity" and became King of the Club Kids before inspiring the film Party Monster, starring Macaulay Culkin. He is currently painting masterpieces of artwork; working on his autobiography, Aligula; designing a club kid-inspired clothing line called Skroddleface; directing a NYC art collective called Countdown and recording a new dance single. One of the original club kids, Ernie Glam is a journalist and irreverent talk show host by day, Underground clothing designer and stylist-to-the-stars by night; catch him - -if you can get past the red velvet ropes -- at the city's hottest nightclubs and parties.

9/11 happened while Michael was in jail so he didn’t realize you can’t just go around opening plane gates. He’s a fascinating person to interview due to having been inside a time capsule while so much changed in the world but also he so much had his finger on the pulse when he was thrown in jail and his entire life came to a screeching halt. Thanks for doing these shows with him, Ernie, and being this voice of reason. It’s fascinating

Everything was always a “misunderstanding “ and never a direct result of his actions. The narcissist personality cannot comprehend the concept of responsibility! Michael loved the attention and cares not that these people lost thousands of dollars. How can an ex con get through life without even having a proper I.d.? He created part of this problem years ago by inciting a riot and then giving a false identity and look at how long that lie has followed him and the trouble it has caused. It is sad he never pursued proper treatment. He chose to stay high and to live off others. How very sad indeed.

Dank Famous1 Well I haven't been watching their channel for too long, just a few months. So I don't really know their uploading tendencies yet since they just started uploading again recently. But I made sure to catch up on every episode they've uploaded since the beginning. If I had known about their channel earlier I would have been here since the beginning. Michael is legit awesome at retelling stories, I could listen to him for hours!

HOPE YOU CAN ANSWER some/all of these questions!! Your story always fascinated me. I used to go to the Limelight/Tunnel under age in high school (I'm 38 now). It was a battle of me against my parents during those years of debauchery. They never understood or approved of the fact that i would go to sleep, set my alarm & then go to the club at 2am. Little did they know the real partying didn't start until 5am. They started to catch on to me when they saw newspaper headlines of Mayor Giuliani initiating raids at these places. I love the pew bc it’s so unscripted and free flowing … I got arrested at an airport in 96 for making a joke. That sucked! Wow, I also have an alias from another arrest when I was younger and crazy … memory lane! Thank you for the show and rip Michael. I luckily am sober, but my arrest record causes me probs and haunts me. Never bc of the alias but in other ways.

Aside from the Peeew! Have you ever considered vlogging your day to day life like other UA-camrs? You might say, "well who'd wanna watch that?" a lot of people would. People like Charles Gross (who, by the way, is fascinated by the whole Club Kid era) does it on a daily and over time gained over 300, 000 subscribers and 30k+ views just talking about his day to day life, taking us out on the street for a stroll or recounting his recent sexual escapades with random guys from Grindr.
