- In this episode of Al-Kee-Hol, Munchies Host Ailine Liefeld travels to a forest in Frankonia, where fresh beer is stored inside an old tunnel system in a mountain.
Throughout the time different Beer Gardens have started serving the beer right out of the tunnels and vibrant drinking spots have been established.

I live near Germany, and trust me, their beer is just out of this world, its a dessert in a glass.
That's my definition of paradise right there.
Luckily i can live in this paradise just a few hundred meters away from the cellar forest ;)
It's amazing that the Germans are able to accomplish anything with all of the delicious alcohol and beer readily available, not to mention the culture surrounding drinking and being drunk at nearly all times of the day.

Franconian beer is really awesome. The best in Germany.
Been there a couple of times, really nice place. Great, cheap beers and food. Totally recommend it

I don't know what it is, but even now at the age of 42 I still can't stand beer. I don't know what my problem is, because the beer sometimes looks so tasty,but to me it just reminds me of seltzer with some funky ingredients in it. Is my Man Card revoked? Or is there still hope for me?

bflet12 lol Scotch is brutal. I am a very casual drinker. To be completley honest i am into those fruity tasting drinks or like Blackberry brandy, but even now i don'r think i had a single sip of any type of alcohol this year. Should i just not worry about it & just accept it that I'm not a drinker?

Why didnt you go to Bamberg?
Which actually has the highest density of Brewers all over the world and is the city of beer.
And its just 10 miles away from Forcheim and 2,5 times as big and more beautiful.
Nonetheless nicely done.

I've never tried beer, what should be my first?
+Austin Texas Natural Light, Miller Lite, Steel Reserve or Colt 45 because it can only get better from there. If you want a good tasting but not overly complex/pretentious beer to get started though, try a German, Czech or Australian lager, especially ones from Tasmania like James Boag or Cascade (if you can find them) because they're tasty. And not hard to drink. As far as German lagers go, I like Bitburger because Magneto drinks it in First Class.

you can own guns in germany. its just a hassle to get a permit and even when you got one passing the background and personality checks every two years isnt easy.
