I decorate all the trees for my family. My tree has been blue, red and gold but this year I'm sticking with just blue, gold and white. My daughter's tree at her house is Grinch and my granddaughter's tree there is cow theme. It was fun with all the bell picks at HL. We do a pink tree in my great-granddaughter's room. She's 2 years old and blind so she could care less but we still do it. I watch her three days a week so I'm going to incorporate more musical decorations here this year. My other granddaughter has a new baby and she hasn't shared what she wants this year yet. It's fun to decorate and shop for everyone.

The main area is all gingerbread & peppermint, master bedroom is neutrals & dark green, with trees and deer, and my spare bedroom is the blush pink & white vintage Christmas. I usually have a Christmas Flamingo theme in some part of my home. I have at least 3 totes full of Santa Flamingos. Ornaments, statues, stockings, dishes, towels, rugs and many more items. It is so fun to take them out every year and decorate with them.

I know you said he sleeps a lot but my husband has no illnesses and sleeps a lot. Being we are retired that is what men seems to do which is fine. I have a pink and blue “glam” tree in my entryway, a huge tree in my family room decorated with all white, a tree in my screened in porch with vintage traditional ornaments in traditional colors and a tree in my basement that my grandkids decorate ( I have 13🤣). I loved this video! With all the negative things in this world, it’s nice to step away and plan for Christmas. Also, lost my mom this year to dementia, she loved Christmas and I will miss her so much during the holidays.
I focus on Nativity displays and I have a “village” of churches I’ve collected over the years. I also have Carole’s as my centerpiece on the dining room table.

I’m doing a gorgeous nativity scene on my dining room table. In my home you walk into the dining room coming in the front door so you will be blessed with the birth of our savior! I do red, greens, whites and blacks. Every room gets the holiday touch! Can’t wait to set it all up! I'm going to pickup some of the red and green items. I love the vintage. Maybe because I'm vintage. I'm 69. I used to have a lot of older items, but I lost them all when our house burned. My mom had given me some when she moved to assisted living. When we moved from Washington to Arizona 4 years ago, my whole Christmas style changed. Since it never, ever snows in yuma I don't do anything snowy. However, I still have to have a pink tree in my bedroom. I have never been a fan of Buffalo check. Can't wait to see your table.
Great video! I did a woodland theme last year and loved it, so re-visiting that this year with a few tweaks. Lots of natural tones, pine cones, mushrooms, lush green foliage and plenty of cute woodland critters on the tree. For cushions and throws, a mix of predominantly ivory and olive green with tons of cosy textures, and a table scape of assorted brush trees, natural green garland, fairy lights and accent ivory baubles 😊
My coffee bar is peppermint themed with a 6 foot pencil tree next to it, this year (I'm soooo excited!) In the dining room I'm doing a nutcracker tree (I've been picking things up since the day after Christmas last year) and also in the dining room is where I put my village and nativity scene, and then the living room is traditional with Santa and deer and all the red, green and gold ❤️❤️
In years past I’ve done the buffalo check. I’ve done entire snowman tree where was all snowman, ornaments, and a snowman tree topper. This year I’m doing a whole candy/gingerbread man tree. I saw it somewhere and it really inspired me so we shall see.
I can't wait to decorate! I love red & white with just touches of silver in the majority of my decorating. But... in my formal dining room, I use burgundy, dark greens, golds & bronzes to be more elegant or "dressy".

Just found you! I'm glad I did. I have always loved candy christmas. Each room in my house has a different theme. The kitchen is always candy and food. I love creating scenes. Like department store window. My Living room is vintage. I mean real vintage with an upside down christmas tree. Love creams, pinks, teal, and golds in there!! I collect snowmen, nutcrackers, and elves! Our sitting room is traditional christmas! Reds, greens, and of course Buffalo check. Lol I put up 15 christmas trees. From 3ft to 8ft. I have a gazebo, with a tree. A greenhouse (that always has a real tree) and decent size front porch with trees, elves and a 7ft Santa and toy soldiers. Needless to say, I love christmas ! I too love deer!! I collect brass ones and I also collect brass candlesticks. I incorporate the brass with deep greens and deep red accents. I have a couple of big Christmas trees from Balsam Hill that I use deep red balls as the accent colour and the main colours are gold and silver. I use big lush garlands from Balsam Hill everywhere I can. Lol. I also like using mini trees or tabletop trees in most rooms. Basically, there is a festive classy feeling in every room whether its inside or outside of my home. Cheers from Toronto!!

I have a very deep respect for both you and your husband for sharing your special journey. Although, I do not have experience with dementia, my smart, vivacious, creative loving mother battled ALS for several years. She was able to live with my husband and myself during those difficult years. Neurological disorders are a beast! Faith, loved ones, friends, laughter, acceptance and of course, sadness become your guiding forces. God is good in all things! So fun to virtually shop together!!! I have several trees but one of my favorites is my Dachshund tree. We have 5 mini dachshunds (1 smooth and 4 longhair), and it is so fun to collect ornaments to add every year! I went all out 2 yrs ago and bought teal and white decor for my tree . I loved it and was so loving decorating. Then last year I wasn’t into it and didn’t decorate at all. We don’t get company since my poodle is a watch dog and won’t let anyone in her house. I’m not sure if I’ll decorate this year or not. I love to look at all the decor though. I think im doing a ginger bread theme tree with traditional colors on a green tree. (Ginger bread boy and girls with ginger bread houses? I have a 4 ft. White tree that i am using a pink and tiffany blue theme with silver sprinkled here and there. That is the plan now. Im making my ginger bead ornamints from salt dough clay.

My manger scene I got at Kirklands many years ago.. each item is like white porcelain or ceramic trimmed with gold ..I put it on my bay window sill where it is the main thing you see when you enter my living room. In Norway, we have something called the REKO-ring. Local farmers take orders for their products and delivery at meet up places. Meat, jams, honey, juices, eggs. Whatever they produce it is short travelled and of high quality. ❤️🇳🇴

Cost me under 40 usd total, and they were very happy about the locally produced gifts. I find it is a good way to support local businesses as well as getting top quality products. I am doing a white tree with blue and silver decorations ,I just bought some big navy blue with silver flowers and a navy blue velvet star with a silver star motif on the middle for the top of the tree. I don’t if blue is not in season because I have been trying to do my blue tree for the past 2 years and was too unwell to put it up ,so this year I am putting it up . I have aqua Christmas ornaments and purple. Still planning to use them again this year. My Christmas tree is white. I might add a couple of new ornaments. I do have a lot of different kinds of birds, too. Also, I have some butterflies. Probably sounds strange, but it always looks nice! I love to do themes and build on them each year … I have a Disney gingerbread theme in my family room/kitchen, a winter blues theme in my living/dining, Santa in my hall, etc… I like to add pieces to these each year, but also love to do mini themes especially for entertaining …one thing I alway do is pick Christmas movie or special and so a theme for it to enjoy while we watch it.

I do the blue and pink on my flocked tree looks so beautiful. But I have done the traditional as well in the passed I do 3 trees in my home here is Canada Ontario. Love watching please say hi to hubby.

I too love deer!! I collect brass ones and I also collect brass candlesticks. I incorporate the brass with deep greens and deep red accents. I have a couple of big Christmas trees from Balsam Hill that I use deep red balls as the accent colour and the main colours are gold and silver. I use big lush garlands from Balsam Hill everywhere I can. Lol. I also like using mini trees or tabletop trees in most rooms. Basically, there is a festive classy feeling in every room whether its inside or outside of my home. Cheers from Toronto!!
Hi Leslie! I am a new subscriber and so love how fun and positive you make your channel. I have been trying to binge watch both of your channels. I have a very deep respect for both you and your husband for sharing your special journey. Although, I do not have experience with dementia, my smart, vivacious, creative loving mother battled ALS for several years. She was able to live with my husband and myself during those difficult years. Neurological disorders are a beast! Faith, loved ones, friends, laughter, acceptance and of course, sadness become your guiding forces. God is good in all things! So fun to virtually shop together!!! I have several trees but one of my favorites is my Dachshund tree. We have 5 mini dachshunds (1 smooth and 4 longhair), and it is so fun to collect ornaments to add every year! Love seeing your babies. Looking forward to your next video!

I went all out 2 yrs ago and bought teal and white decor for my tree . I loved it and was so loving decorating. Then last year I wasn’t into it and didn’t decorate at all. We don’t get company since my poodle is a watch dog and won’t let anyone in her house. I’m not sure if I’ll decorate this year or not. I love to look at all the decor though. Love this so much! I'm doing a neutral classic theme this year. Lots of ivory, taupe, bronze, brown with some dark green! And all the lights!!!

I think im doing a ginger bread theme tree with traditional colors on a green tree. (Ginger bread boy and girls with ginger bread houses? I have a 4 ft. White tree that i am using a pink and tiffany blue theme with silver sprinkled here and there. That is the plan now. Im making my ginger bead ornamints from salt dough clay.
Traditional.. red and green .. my theme for decorating .. glistening.. from White Christmas movie.. as the tree tops glistens .. . So the decor will have glisten ( shine/shimmer). ..
My manger scene I got at Kirklands many years ago.. each item is like white porcelain or ceramic trimmed with gold ..I put it on my bay window sill where it is the main thing you see when you enter my living room. And that is because Jesus is the reason for the season. God Bless.. ❤

In Norway, we have something called the REKO-ring. Local farmers take orders for their products and delivery at meet up places. Meat, jams, honey, juices, eggs. Whatever they produce it is short travelled and of high quality. ❤️🇳🇴

@@ACharmingAbode Last year I bought honey giftbaskets with 3 sorts of honey and gave my Mom and my daughter for Christmas. Cost me under 40 usd total, and they were very happy about the locally produced gifts. I find it is a good way to support local businesses as well as getting top quality products. Do You have any local farmers market where You live in the US?

I am doing a white tree with blue and silver decorations ,I just bought some big navy blue with silver flowers and a navy blue velvet star with a silver star motif on the middle for the top of the tree. I don’t if blue is not in season because I have been trying to do my blue tree for the past 2 years and was too unwell to put it up ,so this year I am putting it up . I love all the shops you have in the US with loads of decorations that we don’t have here in Scotland in the UK I am so jealous ,big hugs Katie 🎅🏻🎄🧑🎄⛄️ p.s I am a new subscriber 😉👍
I tend to keep my christmas decor traditional, and don't get too many new items each year.
Thanks for taking us along Leslie! I got lots of new greenery, garland, and deer last year. This year I got a tree from King of Christmas and am so excited to see it up! I mostly decorate with icy and frosted greenery, lights, stems with pinecones. I change out my pictures and use wintery deer pics. I'm getting so excited!

Hi, Just found your site, Nothing says Christmas to me like the traditional red and green. The green wreath and red bow speaks to me. I used to have silver and white tree and decorations but downsiding, condo did not lend it's self to that. My sister now has the silver and crystal and white now and it's gorgeous . I have aqua Christmas ornaments and purple. Still planning to use them again this year. My Christmas tree is white. I might add a couple of new ornaments. I do have a lot of different kinds of birds, too. Also, I have some butterflies. Probably sounds strange, but it always looks nice! I would like to find a special Nativity scene to put on my credenza. I am like you in that I love reindeer! I have some nutcrackers and a Father Christmas. I also have a poinsettia that I usually put out every year. I also have some Red Cardinals. Love decorating for Christmas! ❤😊

How fun to "shop" from my couch. I hadn't thought of themes this year, but maybe I should... first thought that comes to me are reds and metals (gold/silvers.) But, not really sure what that means as far as if I couldn't use a lot of my decor. You have so much talent and thoughtfulness. This is a wild world to me.

I need to stay out of those stores! I usually do gold ornaments and white snowflakes with clear lights on tree. Many of my decorations are family ones from my parents home. I do Santa's and Snowmen...kitchen is red in 50's style with Buffalo plaid, skating, tins.

I love to do themes and build on them each year … I have a Disney gingerbread theme in my family room/kitchen, a winter blues theme in my living/dining, Santa in my hall, etc… I like to add pieces to these each year, but also love to do mini themes especially for entertaining …one thing I alway do is pick Christmas movie or special and so a theme for it to enjoy while we watch it.
Think I am going to have a them of trees . Got to sheets of plywood to make them .
