The middle part of the 2024 dash is to allow airflow for cooling of the radio.
Makes sense because my screen gets very hot during winter with heat running. Can’t find anything about it online tho
Hey Ryan! Jeeps lookin sweet!
got one for my 392, its rock solid. tip: you can mount the ball all the way to the side if you thread two of the screws thru the rubi grid and directly into the lower mounting bracket. lets the wireless charger sit right in between the dash and center screen, and away from your hands.
Sweet mounts. Loved the duet at the end. Lol.
You guys are killing it! Not a personal fan of these mounts but always enjoy the content!! Keep ‘em coming!! 👍
That is a nice mounting system. Your 392 is coming together nicely. Thanks for sharing.
Bulletpoint Phone mounts are really nice! Meredith nice Jeep!!
My man Matt is droppin’ some pounds. 👍🏽👍🏽
I see you Meredith ! Love your rig 🙌🏾❣️
Love watching you guys and seeing you interact with each other. awesome new toys. I am going to check out bulletpoint.
Great job. We love our Bullet Point mounts.
Just purchased using your code. Thanks for sharing.
I think I’ll have use for the freedom panel ball mount, thanks for the review. Military discount was a bit more than yours tho😅😅😅
Thanks for the recommendation. I went to their site as I was watching your video and ordered the wireless charging mount for my Rubicon X 4xe that hasn't arrived yet...LOL. Will send pictures when she shows up.
If the passenger side doesn’t need the UConnect port, maybe connect that power cable to a T-harness behind the 12v spot behind the console? Pretty sure Quadratec makes them.
Both jeeps are looking awesome ! I use my bullet point bottle opener to air down sometimes, makes for great conversation on the trail 😀 But yeah, I've had both. My preference is Bullet Point over 67 designs. IMHO ...
Bulletpoint mounts are fantastic. I have both my wrangler and gladiator outfitted with bullet point mounts. I use the wireless magsafe charger in my Jeep but I have the charger running off of my aux switches so it charges up pretty well and the cable are out of the way. You know until this video I never knew that the little F shaped tool is for tightening the ball mount clamps lol.
Freedom panel mounted ball is good for watching movies.
The Ball mounted to the hand grab bar is a great spot for the go pro as well especially if filming yourself while driving.
Thanks for another great review. I will never be able to think anything but Rubi-balls for my mounts 😂
I think they need to make a Rubi-bridge to go over the grate thing to give some more mounts. Tie into the rubigrid with some standoffs to allow air flow (if it is for the cooling as one comment suggested).
Bulletpoint makes great products
Excellent AMPS setup from the factory, no need for a Rubigrid if you're only mounting 1 or 2 devices.
Love my Bulletpoint mounting setup thanks to you guys for recommending it. I am using the magsafe charger and the drop-down kit so the arm doesn't make the phone in my windshield view, it's more to the side of the radio now it's great. I am thinking about getting a dashcam or go-pro, something to record driving on and off-road. So depending on what camera I decide on, I'm sure Bulletpoint will have something I can use to mount it up? Any suggestions? I'm not the biggest fan of those suction cup to windhshield dashcams. There's gotta be better for our Jeeps.
The mount system is great on my 2020 JLU just wish the bracket was not flat but a little bit higher then all of us in the north east could keep our easy pass under it and not have to worry about someone snagging it when the doors are off.
Hey! Love your stuff and new jeep owner... Looking for recommendations on a phone mount that I can get in Canada! I was all ready to order the bullet point and they won't ship to me! What could you recommend?
Heat sync for the UConnect head unit
That freedom panel mount is awesome. Until my phone mount broke, that’s exactly where I had my phone mounted.
Some manufacturers put a center channel speaker
I love my Sky one touch top, but sometimes it has limits on accessories, but oh well.
I looped my cord over the top of the screen and plugged it into a USB adapter for the "cigarette lighter." It keeps all the cords out of the way and you can use the cord management to bring it down the left side of the center console. An advantage to this is that you don't take up your USB 1 outlets for a 2nd phone if you're roadtripping with family, and the lighter allows enough power for fast charging using the wireless charger. You should also show people the mechanized wireless charger. It's not magnetic, but the holder has a mechanical tightener that automatically closes when the vehicle starts or opens when the vehicle is turned off or you push a button. I was nervous that the magnetic one would drop the phone if I hit a really big bump.
You guys are funny!
Is there anyway I can get the exact phone mounts that you have in the beginning of the video? I really can’t find them in the website 😢😮😮
What was the name of the shop Meredith used in California? I’m in Cali.
should be.....testing new bullet proof mounts for the wrangler. You should also take a look at others like quad lock etc.
Does it fast charge using the usb ports or do you need to use cigarette lighter?
I would not want to mount anything other than maybe a GOPro to the freedom panels unless I was never going to go topless. SMount or anything else I want located somewhere that will be static.
My issue with the freedom top mounts is that I have a sunrider and wouldn’t remove it ever. It’s too convenient and awesome
I run the rubimount, and I think it's pretty nice (and affordable!) for the most part. Their tablet mount has been problematic though; it just spins even when using the tool.
What would happen if there was a passenger sitting in the front seat and the airbag went off with the phone mount there? Hopefully it’s safe.
Ah--the magic word in the title ("Gladiator") instantly draws me like a crow to a shiny object...
Hi i like your videos keep with the good work together with your partner rayan my name is israel and i am from Puerto Rico
Ordered several mounts and accessories, and have yet to receive any gift or goodies. 😢
I am sorry to say this but I was not impressed with the Bullet Point system on my '21 JL. Having a clamp to hold each ball is somewhat annoying. You have to losses and tighten each clamp one at a time to get the phone holder in the right place. To remove the extension arm from the ball you loosen to the point of the whole thing falls apart. I have to tighten so much to hold in position that it fells like it is going to break. And it still drifts out of place. Instead of the extension arms, I use a "magic arm". Using a "magic arm" has three articulated joints and ONE knob. Hold the phone with one hand, loosen the knob with the free hand, move your phone to ANY position and tighten the one knob. This allows you to lower the phone below the dash out of your view of the windshield. I have switched to using camera mounting options for my phones. Most parts are interchangeable between brands and give opinions to LOCK the phone in the holders
67 Designs!
What's the point of having a phone mount in newer jeeps when there is CarPlay/AndroidAuto ?
It looks like the Rubigrid is too tall on the outer sides? The inside looks flush but the support looks too tall on the outside and the grid looks like it is sticking up?
You are correct… I installed mine and have this same issue…. and BTW the vibration is driving me crazy….. I am thinking on remounting again and change the setup… but love the Rubigrid look.
Yes my 2022 gladiator previous year mount flush and looks great. 2024 I will not be buying for because it looks odd with it sitting slightly higher. Looks like someone didn’t send the correct measurements to Fred in manufacturing.
Now where do you put your ducks? 😅
LOL. I thought mine was just a keychain.
There are cases for Android that are magsafe, so you don't need the extra ring.
