Ohh this is so beautiful to see I'm from Tonga myself and I remember all of this from my mom family I enjoy all the time we have together and shearing food.. But now I live in London myself I bay a lot of money for see food that its not fresh and sometimes it makes you sick because its not fresh.. You guys are very lucky ❤️👍
Brings back so many memories😢😢😢 So homesick right now. Every month, my entire family would go fangota, mostly at Sopu for our kiki and it was always one of our best family times ever. Now, living overseas we hardly see each other anymore or spend that quality time together. Definitely miss it😢
i miss this! growing up i would always go 'eva to my mom's hometown of Nakolo just koz i loved going with my grandma every saturday to the beach when it's low tide do some fangota! we had really good catch for the day and lolo'i them or put em in the 'umu on sundays. ^_^ i miss it so much ever since i left tonga for school in the U.S.
thank you for putting a little glimpse of my mom's funeral in this document..please let me know of how can I get a copy of her whole video....malo 'aupito
I used to go with my mom and aunties and do this. One I’m always afraid of when fangota is the peva. I’d scream and try to avoid one when I come across one 🤣🤣🤣 lols all because my aunties and cousins said they suck your blood.
I agree what the woman says the Tongan people in the 60,70 they are very healthy people now because of the food from overseas the are unhealthy the Tongan needs to watch what they eat

Fangota is how Tonga survive for thousand of years . I don’t know why this commentator saying is backward and is only for the poor . Outside world miss understand our way of life because they don’t know how we peoples of the Pacific survive is the same in all the Islands .
Yes absolutely never in my life is going to forget what I have been grewing up from.
Sweet memories.

Christianity is killing Tonga and many other culture!!!
Be gone demon.
How so?
Keep praising man and see what happens buddy. Without Christ, Tongans would only be known from the history books.
