This trailer rating was worth 5 replays for me. Adam ducking was top notch.
One of the things I truly respect with you guys is that you are always keeping an open mind on things that come out. I remember that when this was first announced in Disney Investor day, you initially did not seem very enthused. Yet you watched and reacted to the trailer and said ‘this looks good’ (in a nutshell). Kudos, because you are genuine and do not just stick to an opinion for the sake of it.
Nobody in any of these reactions have called out the ASTRO JEDI BOY and I've been screaming it lol.

@@IanGoesBoom303 Disney didn't have anything to do with the writing of any of these. They said none of these would be canon, so they gave the studios free reign to do whatever they want. If anything it's meta editing lol

In addition to the lightsaber umbrella and the light whips, I'm pretty sure that lady chambering a kyber crystal and then cocking the mechanism is using a Lightsaber Rifle.
Also she put one inside her chest to power the additional arms.

I love that Jay was kinda meh about it being like an anime thing when Adam was going over it with the Investors day thing, but once Jay sees it he gets hyped (not calling out or anything! Just funny!). Looks better than what I thought it would be! Hopefully it's good and maybe get some more!

When I was a kid in the late 90's I had this comic "Mara Jade By the Emperors Hand" and advertised on the bag was a Manga for the star wars original trilogy. It looked so incredible, I really thought they were going to make an anime out of it. This is a LONG time coming for me.
God I love how genuine and fair Adam and Jay are to their reviews. Far more so than any of the UA-cam news channels. It makes me happy to see them post such honest reactions.

If Jay likes both podracing and anime, I wonder what he would say about Ōban Star-Racers.
It's basically a whole anime about "podracing", with added dramas of both personal and galactic scales, and a teenage girl wanting to get her family back in the midst of it.
It's may not have the most complex of plots, and some people scoff at it because despite being animated in Japan it was directed by a French studio, but it's among my favourite stories I have ever experienced.
At first I thought the Lightsaber Umbrella was kinda dumb...but then Jay sold me on it when he called it a "Pinwheel of Death!!"

I agree with Adam... look, I love Jedi, lightsabers, The Force, all that stuff, but I think they can also be really over done. So, yeah...
The guy who made "Astro Boy", Osamu Tezuka, was incredibly important in the manga and anime world, and he had that "limbs getting bigger at the bottom" look to all his works. So I'm not surprised that one of the studios doing this series is paying homage to his style. (-:

Star Wars and anime fit so well, given there are so many east Asian aesthetic and similarities in star Wars lore, as an anime fan I've been wishing for a star Wars anime project for like 10 years now,. This looks siiiiiiick 🔥🔥🔥

Yeah, they mentioned that video during the July Live stream, unfortunately they stated that they weren’t reacting to “featurettes” because they “know how the sausage gets made”. I watched that introductory video multiple times and thought it was amazing, and interesting, as Star Wars: Visions is such a different approach. While they were excited after watching this, I think Adam and Jay would have been coming at this trailer from a far different understanding and level of anticipation had they watched it.

The astro boy one is called To-b1 and its the story of a droid who is trying to be a Jedi

Adam and Jay you guys seriously need to go back and watch the “featurette” that you snubbed during the July livestream, while you may figure “you know how the sausage gets made” you apparently didn’t have this particular recipe, sorry if this is coming off nastily, but that moment on the live stream has stuck with me as a moment where the community suddenly felt less open and welcoming. Had you watched the special look you would know that they didn’t decide to have their animators make Star Wars stories using anime style animation, they approached some of Japan’s top anime studios to tell their own Star Wars stories, allowing for an expression of unique culture and voice within the Star Wars universe. With how much Akira Kurosawa’s work inspired George Lucas in the creation of Star Wars, it is wonderful for Japanese creators to now get to add their own voice to the universe. The video is definitely worth watching, it is exciting, inspiring and emotional and is why Star Wars Visions is one of my most anticipated things coming out this fall.
Studio Trigger (one of the Japanese animation studios) doing a Star Wars project is something I never knew I desperately needed. I love their work and I can promise you that whatever they do for their episode will be INCREDIBLE. I can’t wait for this!!! It gets 7/7 Bunny Jedis from me!!!

Studio Trigger did Kill La Kill and they're doing two of the nine short stories. None of these stories are "canon" so we can put this on the Star Wars shelf with Jacen Solo and the Yuzhong Vong.
'Pinwheel of Death' also a great name for a metal band.
When you mentioned one looking a bit like Kill la Kill, well that one is in fact being directed by the director of Kill la Kill.
Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars walked so that Visions could run.

most hyped for the back and white, ink and brush drawn looking one (hopefully everything will be that except for lightsabres, blaster shots and force powers) the master and apprentice vs the sith with 2 red sabres, and the one with the bunny girl, because thescarred guy is who I wish i had grown up to look like, but they all look fun and different (even the comedic ones i.e. the astroboy wants to be a jedi one) and the twins is bonkers (want to see all kinds of crazy lightsabres and force lightning blasts
the English dubs will have familiar actors, Temuera Morrison is doing Fett's voice for example. Both are definitely gonna be worth it.

StarWars pod racing & Rogue Squadron were some of my favorite games on Nintendo 64
Most of these are pretty heavy hitter studios too. Theres one or two tiny ones. But lots of the others have big hit anime in circulation currently...or are known for older really big titles...like Ghost in the Shell.

Good reaction...as always. It will be interesting to see the stories taking place during The Old Republic, The OT, The PT, and The Mandalorian eras. Supposedly, a couple of these vignettes take place in a time after The ST. These aren't necessarily canon...but, I have a feeling that a few of these may end up becoming canonical...Umbrella Lightsaber included.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed most of the clips in the trailer seemed to rely on light sabers and use of the Force. Too often, Star Wars stories seem to return to the Force well.
