Haven't finished watching the rest of the video, just want to say that at 1:14:50 I would have set up the board like this (in this order) carl-teddy-core-metronome-beta ray-alpha ray-Aiden With lefty loosey and the cosmic roc skill I genuinely think it's throwing not putting race carl in. Plus, carl is triggering so fast it's actually good to have him next to teddy Obviously teddy is non-negotiable, so we want to slot him in between our two fastest items, which is Carl and the core We need carl in the leftmost position for lefty loosey, so that carl triggers his own charging in a positive feedback loop So then teddy and the core. Now, the metronome gives so much haste for carl that it's priority number 2. So we slot the metronome in between our two next fastest items, the core and beta ray (because the beta ray is being charged by the core) We have two slots left, and since beta ray is your outermost item, placing brick buddy in wouldn't scale brick buddy at all, so we put in our two next best items, Aiden and the alpha ray I really do think that the speed increase in triggering with this load-out is so much faster that we don't need brick buddy. We also don't really need the sustain from brick buddy to scale teddy more, because teddy doesn't need to scale as much if he's triggering 10 times as fast EDIT: at 1:19:30 I would recommend doing the above load-out even MORE now with the shield enchant. Put the shield enchant on the metronome, and then you don't need brick buddy at all anymore. Yeah 15 shield isn't a lot but you can scale it with some skills and scrap, and I mean the metronome is next to the core and the beta ray, so it will be shielding like crazy Edit 2: at 1:22:06 with puffer I would do the same load-out as above except swap out carl for puffer. Again you don't need brick buddy if you had put the shield on the metronome. Alright I'll stop at this point lmao EDIT 3: since this comment is getting some attention, I'll also add that there might be a more optimal configuration when we take into consideration the internal cooldown limit of 0.2 seconds. The above load-out is almost certainly overkill in charging the pufferfish, and so the pufferfish would be charging every 0.2 seconds (with a backlog), so maybe there's a way to get more charging on items other than the pufferfish? Either way, I think it's better than what you ran. Not hating Fruit, just trying to be educational! Finally, I see now that Teddy was bugged and wasn't even getting charged by adjacent friends anyways, so everything I just said is pointless and you would have lost regardless, but I guess this was a good exercise in build crafting lmao
Totally agree with all the stuff you pointed out! Looking at the board now as well, having played more and knowing what I do now, it definitely wasn't optimal. But sometimes I don't catch those things in the moment or while recording find it's easier to space on that stuff. Agreed that I should've ditched Brick Buddy in favor of Race Carl - maybe I'll get a build like this to try another time! haha
I like the idea of not knowing if you’ll win or not. Yes seeing a build going crazy is fun but seeing crazy builds 100% of the time takes the suspense out of it because you already know what the outcome will be in the end. Plus I always love seeing things that aren’t meta. When I play these types of games I always respect people more when they do their own thing verses the meta but that’s just me.
I don't even have access to the game and i legit just woke up from a nap having a dream about getting a burn enchant on something that doesn't even exist scaling burn to 100000+ by the end of a run 😭
Idk if u find out later, but level up reward "upgrade leftmost silver item" does work on bronze items and leaves them at hold, which is why it was highlighting first aiden 37:01
Yes, Teddy isn't charging at all. I saw that in the last pufferfish fight, but first just assumed the friend trigger of pufferfish wasn't working. But the core isn't charging it either.
I'm in complete support of uploading more games that don't make it to 10 wins. I think it's more interesting to see the niche builds you make and it's more relatable because most of us aren't hitting 10 wins every game (unless we use pre-hotfix pufferfish). I'm not here because I want to watch some random UA-camr's 100th "I won with a meta build" video, I'm here because I like watching *you* experiment with fun builds. I will always respect the _GAMBAAAAAA!!!,_ even if it doesn't pay off in the end. (Also, thanks for getting me into this game! I'm addicted.)
always super fun to watch you play the bazaar, and while getting 10 wins is cool and all, seeing super rare builds (fricking TEDDY??) is way cooler imho, as is experimenting and trying out new things for fun, even if they don't end up super strong, so i'm really glad you keep uploading such runs!!

Loving all the content! The teddy game was definitely entertaining and I agree that sometimes you just gotta take an item for a spin when it's presented to you, even if it doesn't look the best. Just too bad it didn't charge like it was supposed to cause it could have been nuts
I can see why they decided to reel back the amount of skills you're able to get in a run. With how many you could get pre-patch, it seemed like builds were entirely reliant on them, considering there was no cap on how many you could get. Personally, I think it would be more interesting to keep the same cadence of skill acquisition, but limit the amount of skills you can have depending on what level you are, similar to how the board works. Maybe the cap could be 9. From there, it could be a good idea to allow the player to swap skills out for future finds (permanently deleting the skill that gets swapped out).
From what ive noticed, if a passive is causing something to activate it doesnt count toward multipliers like the one on teddy. It only scales from the actual cast of the item however many seconds of cooldown that may be. For some reason it doesnt seem to work off of charge casts either.

I like that they're experimenting with such drastic balance changes, though I'm really not a fan of swapping from items having a passive effect to the 'charge 3 secs' thing. Imo it's way too easy to go infinite now. Like Pufferfish, haste cloak and a jellyfish going (more of less) infinite on day 2 is way too easy to get to be healthy. Same issue with the chemsnail and trebuchet etc. I kinda preferred them before and really hope they decide to revert that next patch.
I like that idea too! I want it to be interesting but not a foregone conclusion it's a win for people to stay interested or see how it pans out. Sort of like the Dooley Pylon build. People were so convinced there was a game 2

That Teddy should have went in between First Aiden and the Core. Would have gone off so many times.
It's bugged and doesn't charge at all. So once it had haste it was at the max ~4,5 sec cooldown.

Clawrence is fun in a friend-core build with race Carl - can easily get him up to 4 figures in later battles

Teddy has a keyword of "use" item, not activate or anything else. So pufferfish doesn't trigger.
