- Welcome!
We are a homesteading, homeschooling family of 7. Due to recent events (job loss/career change, health issues, rising food costs, etc.) we are having a hard time making ends meet despite our best efforts at frugality. So we are tapping into our local food banks to help us feed our family. Come along as I show you what we are blessed with, what we add to it via grocery store and garden, and how I use it all to nourish our bodies.
Thanks for watching and God bless!

My Walmart has Frenchs potato sticks in a can for $2.80.
I remember the potato sticks. So good.
In my grocery store they are simply called potato sticks and they are now in a small bag in the chip section of the store usually by the pringles and the bugles.
Potato sticks! Walmart and grocery stores have them. Sometimes they are near the snack nuts. I've occasionally seen them near the fried onions you put on green bean casserole.
nice to get the meat. so nice of the butcher to donate. good snacks, and soooo much more. hope you have a good evening.
I wish our food-banks' donations, here in the UK, were as generous, nutritious and varied!
They’re called Pix Nix and they’re just matchstick potatoes but they’re so tasty. We used to put them on salads for a crunch. Our local grocery store sells them in the can!
7:44 potato stix. Ik what you're talking about. I found them at my dollar tree. Plus those cheddar fries chips; they have other flavors too.
Such a blessing about the meat! Wow! You got some good items in todays haul ❤
if you want the ribs brown a bit in the oven or pan covered in foil slow roast in the oven or bake 10-15 or so under broiler then crock pot "Blessings of Bounty and May Your Gardens and your Life always Bring You Joy, INSPIRATION and Abundance!" - Hope( & Mark)!❤❤❤
AWESOME! The Lord truly blessed you guys and you all deserve it!❤❤
The meat is so amazing to get so many great blessings!!! Love watching ur videos!!!
🎉I got ribs the other day, I marinated over night and then baked them with red potatoes in a oven bag, Delicious
You don't need a crockpot for ribs unless you like them boiled. You will need an oven, aluminum foil, baking pan (walls needed, make sure it's not a cookie sheet), a bit of olive oil, your favorite spice mix and barbecue sauce. Cut the meat in half (unless you have a pan large enough.) Use a little bit of olive oil and a rub on the meat. Don't overdo oil because pork has plenty of fat, it's so the meat just has a start. Place the meat in a backing pan (best covering the pan with aluminum oil because it's easier to clean.) Cover the pan with aluminum oil tightly. It will take around 2 or so for the meat to cook at 350f. Try not to pick, give at least 1-1.5 hours. When pork is soft, brush with barbecue sauce, increase temperature to 400-425f, rost if you have it on your oven. Let the sauce cook on the pork gor about 15minutes. If desired, repeat once again. That's it.
This is how I make them too!
Sounds great! I have homemade peach bbq sauce in my fridge .
U get awesome goodies..I use a food pantry and we never get chips n treats
Amazing blessings you received , those ribs look 🤤🤤
They are called potato stix , nice stuff. Ribs come out really good in crockpot.
POTATO 🥔 STICKS 🍡
GREAT HAUL 👏👏👏
Put some aluminum foil in your Crock-Pot country ribs up and put on down in that hole and put it on high for a little while and then turn it to low coverage put the ribs done just covering and let them cook and they will be there be so tender that fall off Bone BBQ house if you want it..
Potato stick dollar general carried them in little bags
We called them shoe string potatoes, on the ribs I cut in half put in crock pot cook slow then put in oven bake till brown sometimes I add barbecue sauce when I put in oven God bless
Yes I ate those potatoes sticks too.I'm up in the northeast and have seen them at Wal-Mart.
Cut into smaller portions, put in the crockpot with apple juice and cook on low. Finish on the grill quick with barbecue sauce. This is how a butcher told me to cook them! YUM,,,,,
What a great haul and God bless you all and have a great day!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Hello my friend
Just since this summer I've been buying meat 50% off from Aldi when they have it. It's always best by the next day but I freeze or pressure can it.
Wrap the ribs in foil aftr topping it liberally in BBQ sauce and bake slowly.
The potato stick chips they sell them at Dollar tree my son has gotten them haha
I believe the kodiak flap jacks in the cups are low carb.
This kind are definitely not. I think they were like 38 carbs each.
Great score on the meat! I cook ribs in the oven on a cookie sheet.
What a group of items!
Peel the membrane off the back of the ribs first and they will be more tender. You can put them in The crockpot while and pour in a can of coke or Dr Pepper and cook on low all day add bbq sauce when you take them out. Another way is to cut them into pairs and put in a big pot, cover with a cheap beer and add water to ensure the liquid doesn’t boil away, add onion slices and boil until cooked through, then you have a choice place in a baking dish and cover with bbq sauce and cover with foil and bake or put them on the grill and cover with bbq sauce. All are delicious.
What a great haul you got today! Potato stix and our local Dollar Tree sells them.
i was just going to recommend removal of the silver skin..aka membrane. it will make all the difference in the world.
@@karenjones1897 great minds think alike! It does make all the difference in the world.
Read up on the vinegar with the tart cherry. I know I take a tart cherry juice gummy at bed time because it helps you sleep. It actually knocks me out. I’m not sure if it will do the same being in the vinegar.
Great haul
Awesome haul!!
Cut 5he ribs in half and boil them for at least a hour and then throw in oven with BBQ sauce or put them on a smoker. Both guarantees tenderness
AKA "shoestring potatoes." They usually have a long shelf life. I have several cans in my pantry. 😊
Wow , great Haul🌈🌈
Planters potato sticks
You can slice the ribs into 3 and put into crockpot😊
Shoestring potatoes
Take the ribs boil on medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes that gets them softer and boils out extra fat then you can chop into sections and place in a crock pot on low heat and let cook overnight and a small amount of water and season the way you like then remove bones add BBQ sauce and make pulled pork sandwich will stretch your food budget
They were called picnic stix
They were called potato Stix. My kids love Andy Capps hot fries.
They have hot ones to? Yummy
@@lilyflores7018 yes my kids love them all they are a little hard to find my kids buy them out of the vending machines at school. I found them at dollar tree!
Amazing haul. Looking forward to my food bank on Friday.
I assume you made the rug that is over by the case of water that you shown. Do you have a pattern or just go for it on your own. Love a couple for my kitchen.
I did. And I don't have a pattern. Sorry. I just know the formula to end up flat but it takes tweaking depending on what yarn use.
211 is a greate souce for just about anything (211).😊😊
Don’t (jokingly) let the kids enjoy the Ritter sport chocolate - it’s very yummy.
Yeah you struck gold.
Tell us how you like the apple cider vinegar flavor. I take it twice a day ❤

I appreciate their attention to the details.
You talking about shoe strings I think
Just a heads up, please pay attention to what is going on around the world, bible prophecy is falling off the pages of the bible. If you aren't saved, you should get saved now before it's to late because Jesus is coming very very very soon. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10: 9-13, Ephesians 2: 8-9. Much love and God bless.
