Wow…first comment. It’s true, HG has given way to PG flying but at lest it’s kept free flight alive and well. I hope PG pilots realize that they fly on the shoulders of giants. As a New England pilot and 71 years old, I’m proud that I can say I’ve survived HG since 72 and still fly today. My quest then and now is to fly safe and pay it forward to new pilots today. …. I wish I could have been at this fly-in.

As a pilot, sorry, person going through training now, i would say there are numerous factors slowing down the sport. Lessons are very expensive, as is all equipment, fuel to get there, etc, etc. wages haven't kept up with the cost of living. There needs to be more training schools dotted everywhere, more self promotion and more passion from trainers, I personally feel that my trainer/coach treats it as a job, which of course it is, but with such a wonderful job, there should be some real passion and desire to keep things going. Group bookings could bring an opportunity for reduced costs, but they don't. Anyway, the new world order will mean that ALL sport will die, if nobody has autonomous freedom to travel and do as they wish, how can any sport survive? God bless Trump

Back in the 70s my brother and I bought a new Chandell hang glider for $500. Now there what, $8000? That’s why there’s not as many😢
