Without exaggeration, every third card had an error on it. From trollslayers's to strenghten, fearfull, gutte, squaires and combar (on the same card), fearsom, freasome, the list goes on. Personally I wouldn't pay for something so poorly done.
Advanced Heroquest was a cut down (slightly) of the standard warhammer fantasy roleplay rules, so if you but a secondhand copy of the early book of rules and with the base advanced heroquest set you can see which elements they use and which they ignore and you have the entire Old World inhabitants to AHQ with.
Trollslayer's Oath, The Quest for Sonneklinge, The Changing Faces of Tzeentch, etc are from the White Dwarf magazine quests that were available. There were a dozen or so magazines with quests and content updates made available in WD for AHQ. Some of the rule updates in Terror in the Dark are directly from those magazines as well. They contained additional Spell schools, new treasure & henchmen (both were included in TotD), some named heroes, traps, hazards, monsters, quests, rules, monster matrices.
@@AshQuest ...... welll that depends ........ scans of old white dwarf mags do exist online for free (well did a few years ago). So if that does not clash with your moral view then go for it, I think personally that old articles from that long ago should be classed like abandonware.
@@AshQuest Yeah, plenty online. Here are the WD Magazines you're interested in if you're looking for them physically: WD121 - The Quest for Sonneklinge WD122 - The Priests of Pleasure WD125 - The Darkness Beneath the World WD134 - The Trollslayer's Oath WD138 - Has the Henchman rules included in Terror in the Dark WD139 - Has the Treasure rules included in TitD WD145 - The Eyes of Chaos WD150 - The Changing Faces of Tzeentch WD159 - Rivers of Blood I said dozen, but I broke down my pdf scans by HQ & AQ and had a full copy of WD125 in the folder, so a few duplicates were there, so looks like there's 9 WD magazines in total. WD 134 & 145 have quests for both HQ & AHQ.
@AshQuest yes search for the pdfs but the relevant issues are as follows 121 - Quest for Sonneklinge 122 - Priests for Pleasure 125 - Amethyst Wizard's Spell Book 134 - The Trollsayers Oath 138 - Henchmen 139 - Treasure 145 - The Eyes of Chaos 150 - The Changing Faces of Tzeentch 159 - Rivers of Blood.... board game geek has a lot on this
Drow are not a separate species TO elves, they are a BREED OF elves. In D&D the canonical breeds of elf are: Aquatic, Avariel, Drow, Grey, High, Snow, Slyvan. (The "standard" D&D elf is technically a High Elf).
What a great and cracking video. Advanced HeroQuest and its Expansion are great games and I one day would like to have all of them and the additional games workshop products. The Reproshop products look fantastic and I consider to get my hands on them at some future day. I already have the German version of Advanced HeroQuest „Herr des Schwertes“ and one incomplete copy of Terror in the dark as well as some old minis, but it is still a long way to go. Anyway I hope to see more great content on the topic. 👍🏻
I don't think he has these in stock any more. I bought the orange and black dice from him before and some nice Advanced Heroquest Monster Cards which I think he still sells.
The issue is finding a copy with an intact box and doors without broken hinges. The box cardstock quality is terrible. I ended up getting a few years ago that needed a bit of repair and had to replace most of the doors.
What the hell I want this and I know I can't get it it's bull crap I was lucky and got my Hands-On Advanced hero Quest and it did come with the rule book for Tara in the dark but nothing else I can't afford it afford it
When an out-of-print game cost $300, let alone $1,500, Tabletop Simulator is your best friend.

Love this, thanks for clarifying for me. It's great because it means AHQ extends beyond Terror in the Dark...and very bad for my wallet 😆... 😐

I so need to find this store. I need boxes for many of the original HQ Expansions for the expansions that I have or have cobbled together.
Maybe Skaven and Scaven are two different species. Like Elves and Drow. Or they had Skippy visiting from out of town that day.
Drow are not a separate species TO elves, they are a BREED OF elves. In D&D the canonical breeds of elf are: Aquatic, Avariel, Drow, Grey, High, Snow, Slyvan. (The "standard" D&D elf is technically a High Elf).
Amazing work on the box and cards. :D
Great vid and the fake commercial ad had me laughing!
Also nice review on the monster cards as well!
That thumbnail made me spit up some coffee 😁
Love this!
I think I was considering buying these cards at one point. Seeing all the errors on them I’m glad I didn’t now 😂

My original game system box is quite crushed, and all but one door hinge broke, so I unfortunately understand this all too well :,)
When will there be a remake of battle masters! I loved that game as a kid. Also, I wouldn’t mind if they shrunk it to fit on a table top lol

If you ask me advanced heroquest isnt advanced or heroquest
