Well this has been quite a journey getting this groove down so much so my son wondered if I’d gone mental when he heard my maniacal laughter after I’d managed to play it a couple of times before losing it again! It’s becoming more fluent now and I’m fitting in some of the fills you play at the end and some of my own variations. All on a practice pad the sofa and the floor as studio isn’t open in lockdown! Anyway thanks for a great lesson which has kicked my drumming on into a new direction. Been listening to Locked Down by Dr.John & the drumming on that is also a major influence at the moment. Can’t wait to get back on a real kit!
Is your Sixers shout out because your a Jersey boy or do you dislike the hired guns on both the LA teams? "Clap your hand's everybody"! Great lesson as always!
Yep, you are spot on. Talk here is that he might be on the trade block by the All Star break. The other problem won't be addressed until after the season and in my opinion Bret is as big a problem as is Ben. Hope Clowney has a big fine envelope waiting for him.
@@j.daddieo9283 Yeah, I just don't understand Simmons at all. Clearly has skill but... As far as Clowney, a fine does nothing. I wish someone from the Oline had thrown him to the ground and made more of the cheap hit.
You’re such a great teacher. Thank you for this. Not just the technique but the commentary as well.
Great work breaking it down. I've played cascara for years by ear and I appreciate the notation. Well done!
parnell24 thank you

I grew up just outside of Philly and have always supported the Philly teams even when they have a point guard who won't shoot :)

Buddy Holly was born in Texas and assimilated similar rhythms. If you surrender to the rhythm it’s easier.
Very nice. Dig being aware of the body tension concept. Good stuff!
He looks like woody the woodpecker
I was thinking the same thing
