Do you think buying these boxes are worth it price wise. I love Dnd I love models but as a Dm I am not sure I would want alot of duplicates of creatures I would never run. I played alot of warhammer 40k so I am not shy of spending way to much on models and spacemarines do not make good proxies for orcs so I am tempted. I kind of wish they just sold models seperately for what you needed but like magic I can understand the appeal of random chance.
I do feel like they are overpriced, and it really pi$$es me off that they turned them into even worse loot crates than they already were by not including a rare in each box. The reason I feel that way though is because I started with the original Harbinger set back when D&D miniatures was it's own game. Back then you used to get a rare in every box, there was 8 of them, AND you could play D&D miniatures as well as use them in your campaigns. Still to this day wish I hadn't sold them... Despite that rant I still can't stop myself from buying them. IMO they are totally worth it for running campaigns. I don't have an artistic bone in my body so painting them is not an option. I actually don't mind getting duplicates because when have your PCs ever fought only one orc, kobold, or goblin? When you get duplicates that you likely won't use together (black shadow dragon as an example because I already had one) you can easily sell them on eBay and miniatures tend to hold their prices quite well.
@@GuidingBoltGaming haha nice rant, but I can certainly agree. You are right though you never need just 1 model, and you could sell the rest so its not like anything is a waste. Maybe I will have to get a few boxes and test my luck.
