Just for everyone's information, I used this recorder with BOYA mic (TRRS jack) and it works. Does not need an adaptor. You'll just need to make sure the mic is on.
I noticed quite a difference in sound quality based on the direction you faced while speaking. It appears the mic is aimed off to your right a little, and when you faced to your right your voice sounded very full and there was bass. But when you faced forward and to your left your voice sounded more distant. With an omni-directional mic this phenomena would not typically be heard. I wonder why it sounded this way. I've seen other videos and did not notice this. I will have to watch more. I am very interested in this mic. I've been using the Mic J-044 lav mic and Sony PX-312 voice recorders but they were recently stolen. I am looking to replace them and upgrade a little. I really like the voice recorder and lav mic solution. It's worked very well for me, especially compared to a $650 wireless set-up that is also subject to electrical interference.
You are right, in what you heard. It was the first time using it and it was kind of covered by my shirt a little as I moved around. I noticed it when I was editing. It has to be clipped on just right to avoid that happening. A fold of fabric will definitely muffle it. I haven't had much trouble with it subsequently, still a good little mic for the money. Sorry about yours being stolen BTW.
Hallo sir Thank you for the video I just bought one because or this video Can you write down plz the settings that i need or changes that i have to make on my ICD PX 470 if i wanna make: STREET INTERVIEWS : I want a great quality Thank
Honestly I use it at the highest quality setting and have never had an issue with space. If you need more you can use the sd card. Very good sound quality for the money.
Hello, "What did you mean by checking microphone?" Did you need specs on one of the ones I showed? Not a problem just let me know my email is quantumphaser@gmail.com Thanks, Greg

An update, using powered mic, the unit takes TRRS, using unpowered mic, unit takes TRS.
This video gives us idea how the device's audio recording quality was by it self. The lavalier mic he used was just a props. lol

Thanks. I am glad to hear you've resolved that issue. Yup, perhaps just getting it centered is more effective.

Really nice video! Just one question, which plug are you using for the recorder to pick up the mic?
Stock mini plug adapter that comes with the microphone.
Thanks a ton..if you had not mentioned about the adaptor, I would have been doomed
Glad the video helped you out.

HOW FAR I CAN RECORD?
Well I dont think I want to buy a Sony voice recorder now. It didn't sound that good with the lav mic on your video. It sounded bad at the end.
Cool bro
