Deep conditioner should be used after the shampoo and before conditioner. The conditioner closes the cuticles of your hair and should be the last step.

Our hair is about the same length!! My hair is definitely on my butt /hips. I haven't straightened my hair in years though. More than 10!!!! I don't even remember the last time. 🤔 I wish I had your texture though because mine is very coarse and very kinky. This 4C stuff is no joke when it's long!!! My arms be spaghetti when I'm done.

My daughter has hair just like yours, but I can’t seem to keep it moisturized properly
Well first u should find out what porosity is her hair.Maybe it's low porosity that's when moisture is hard to go in the hair strands so I would recommend applying heat like deep conditioning like once or twice a week than seal in the moisture with grease.

I use shower plastic cap on my daughter's hair for deep condition.
i can never brush my hair in the shower i have clumps of hair that will come out . even when i’m out of the shower i loose a lot of hair when i comb it . my hair is not quite as thick as your hair but it’s pretty close ( 3 b - 3c ) my hair always seems so dry and it makes it hard to clean my scalp . i use deep conditioners but that doesn’t really seem to help . can you recommend me anything ? my hair has pretty much always been like this too
It’s normal for anyone to lose hair when detangling. Try to start combing (with a wide tooth comb) from your ends and work your way up. Search for products that have a lot of “slip” to help make detangling easier. Products with water-soluble silicones are helpful. If your hair is always dry you may not be moisturizing according to your hair porosity. Try research hair porosity and go from there. Also try the LOC or LCO method for moisturized hair :)

If nothing else your hair is growing like a weed. What is your diet like? How much water do You drink to get a nourishing beautiful mane like yours? You hair looks so healthy and nourished. It doesn't look thirsty at all. I agree with someone on this thread when they wrote your hair is beautiful in it's natural state it looks really nice straight as well. Bye
