That stuff you applied to clean the cooler is cool. it made it look like new after you cleaned it with it. Super stuff!! Good insight between the two thermal pastes.
Thank you my friend. It's basically engine cleaner. The strong detergents in it make it suitable for this kind stuff. Wishing you well to you and family 🙏
Dude you’re awesome real information here wow I’m blown away I really glad that your channel is exist , now I finally made my perfect buying decision thanks a lot dude keep it up!!❤🙏🏻
Glad I could help. And thank you for the idea! Cheers!
Very interesting video indeed, Thanks for sharing the results!
I just shuntmod my 3080 few days ago, soldered all six 5mOhm with 7mOhm resistors and locking the power limit to around 400W in msi afterburner and also using Conductonaut Extreme. temps are really REALLY good, too. Finally was able to push this card a little more than just 900mV while not being power limited LOL.
Just make sure your mosfets are of good quality, like Infinion or MPS.
One misconception I see many comments making is how applications "dry out" or "degrade" quickly. This really isn't true unless it's counterfeit. What DOES happen with most hardcore pastes is called "pump-out" where repeated thermal cycling causes it to slowly work itself out until it no longer makes sufficient contact. This is why Kryonaut is recommended for high end water cooling (and extreme overclocking).
On many CPUs it's common to need it reapplied every few months to maintain performance, especially if the system is turned off frequently and then used for heavy loads. It's a waste of money for the average user compared to other options IMO.
This is less of an issue on the die of GPUs and can make more sense when even a few degrees could affect performance, especially higher power cards. It can still happen so be mindful but IME it typically holds up longer. I'd mainly recommend it for water blocks but some might find it worth while.
Source: Roman has told me much of this and you can find interviews of him talking about it at shows. I'll dig one up if necessary.
I apply the thermal paste wirh my finger , nothing happens except you meed to clean your finger 😂
It's perfectly safe. 👌
He3y - just a question
isn't Kryonatu Extreme more of a thermal putty that you could use over VRAM instead of core?
Good question. In short, no. It was made to be used for extreme overclocking cases. But theoretically, you could use it as thermal puddy. Not that I would recommend it, but nowadays people are coming up with all kinds of ideas so...it might work for you. But no, its not more of a thermal puddy. It is in fact just thermal paste.
one thing to keep in mind to that the normal kryonaut if its quite old can lose temps quite allot too.
I tried both of these pastes but now using noctua nt-h2 with a new build since it's supposed to have a very good performance and last very long, it would be interesting to put it up against the extreme 😊
I have made a video testing NT-H2 vs TG kryonaut Extreme also. It's somewhere on my channel lol. Oh, and thermal paste does not "expire" if it's kept air tight, in the right conditions.
@@TechnologyHive i checked but could not find the video 😆.
i kept it in perfect condition and had in extra air tight bags but it might be that it was old already since it was from Amazon
@@GoldenEagle0007 Try the extreme version. You will see what I mean 👍
@@TechnologyHive i had on my old build but after the video and the normal kryonaut drying i gave up for 1c difference because im on 7800x3d now
Great Video, Very interesting.
Thank you my friend. Good to hear from ya! Hope all is well!
@TechnologyHive I'm great thanks been busy with work/and editing for my channel. (Which seems to take ages lol)
@@Stoney_UK The gathering of content is not so bad. Its the editing that takes the hard work LOL Very true. Glad you're ok my friend. Keep on trucking!
I use brake cleaner and it works like a charm cleaning it
That works too!
even debauer mentioned on one of his video that the extreme doesn't last long, so it will dry much faster then for example noctua nt-h2 🤷♂️
I have never seen that video you speak of. But I have the extreme version running 24-7 on my RTX 2080 running Folding@home for over a year and temps are exactly the same as day one.
@@TechnologyHive interesting, i tried to find the video but I gave up, i remember it's one if his overclocking videos when he mentioned it.
Golden Eagle there’s some fake information out there….
@GoldenEagle0007 I can assure you from experience that the extreme version is durable.
@@TechnologyHive how hot does your rtx 2080 stay 24/7?
This thermal paste is good for 1 month or 2 in laptop becouse the temp are high for default, then this paste degrade very fast, you need repast a lot.
Which paste? Because the extreme version will last years.
@@TechnologyHive i used the extreme edition, pink paste, it don’t work in laptop or mini pc as intel nuc, they raise up 85°c and the design paste is up 80.
@@landomage I have not experienced this.
@@TechnologyHive well i have an Alienware m15 whit intel i7 9750 and intel nuc 12 enthusiast, is a fact the paste pink extreme doesn’t work. I put Liquid Metal and my temp drop 12-14c in full load whit cinebench 2024 and i got 1090pts in multicore for the nuc and 758 for the Alienware in multicore too, and right now i have a problem whit the VRAM in both devices, raise up 100c.
@@landomage I have not experienced what you have. And I would not compare liquid metal to thermal paste. These are two very different TIMS.
I use Kingpin KPX
I will buy it, test it up against Kryonaut Extreme and MX-6, and put this one to rest 🙂
@@TechnologyHive I use 13w/m.K Aairhut pads from Amazon. I was skeptical at first, but they have served me well. I've used them with most, if not all of my repads. Very impressed with them.
I use Kingpin KPX, best paste I've used so far. It doesn't dry out as quickly as TG and the conductivity is pretty close.
@@user-cq9fm4rs9d I will have to check KPX. I have never used it. Thanks for the tip.
I have to ask you bro, what do you think about the power connector on the RTX 4090, I am sure that connector is going to destroy almost all the RTX 4090 in 2 years time.
Nvidia is gonna take a massive lawsuit!
I have 2 4090's here in for repair with burt power connectors. One I'm not sure survived the fire. Nvidia did a number on itself this time around with their flagship card. Bad for consumers. I'd stay away from the 4090's, but that's just my opinion. Wait til next Gen or get an RX 7900 XTX or RTX 4080. The 4080 does not suffer the same issues due to lower power requirements. Though if you fail to plug it correctly, it may cause a fire also...
@@TechnologyHiveExpect a massive lawsuit against Nvidia before the end of 2025, keep your receipt for refund bro!
@@sithounetsith9877 I do not own a 4090. I went with an RX 7900 XTX instead because of that issue. The cards I have here are from customers. I am waiting for the connectors to arrive from China. I ran out of stock :)
@@sithounetsith9877 Gamers Nexus already did an extensive video on the issue and it turns out the issue is blown way out of proportion. In reality you have to install the connector terribly wrong for it to be a possible issue, and even then its extremely hard to reproduce it. Still, nVidia shoudl have caught this, but unless you install the Graphics card EXTREMELY wrong you have nothing to worry about :)
