@Poochy4720 True, but you don't have to remind every scene that Shu hates people because he never had friends and how great they are because they had an unbreakable bond of friendship and that is all thanks to the bonds that they have, and thue to lack of friends hates people, but he doesn't actually hate people, he just lacks bonds, which Narukami and the others have. Rinse and repeat that for 15 hours, and you have P4 Arena Ultimax story mode to me.

Sho was an orphan, and like the members of Strega were kidnapped and given Plumes Of Dusks (items that power Anti-Shadow Supression Weapons like Aigis and Labrys) to artificial induce a Persona into them. While testing, they had their Test Subjects trained in combat, Ikuskiu liked Sho the most due to his violent and combat loving personailty, to the point Sho had to be restrained to prevent killing his enemy. Sho saw Ikuski as a father figure; which he used to his advantage to make Sho obedient. Minuzuki awakened inside Sho, who only had a Persona himself, not Sho. Minuzkui tried to kill Ikuzki because he was abusing Sho. But he failed. Ikuzkui had an experiment ready to try to remove Minuzkui from Sho, but it didnt work and Sho was left in a coma like state. Ikuzkui left Sho at a Inaba Hosotital and paid for his treatment. Ikuzkui died later in 2009. Sho eventually woke up and left the hospital, eventually coming to a cabin in the woods where he learnt it was Ikuzkuis and found out about his death. He tried to adapt to life in Inaba but couldn't as he way of forming Bonds with people is through battle as Ikuzkui had Sho in solitary confinement during his Test Subject days, and so never learnt how to interact with humans properly. Sho witnessed the Investagion Team solve the entire Inaba Case, and thinking they would understand him, but eventually gave up on the idea. Sho wanted the world to be destroyed and Hi-Ragasuchi reached out to him and told him he can grant Sho's wish. Both Sho & Minuzkiu agreed. I think Sho found documents about S.E.E.S. and he already got to know the Investagion Team through his stalking of them.
One thing that would have made Ikutsuki a better character would have been that he wasn't a villain but that Jin ( or whatever the name of the other strega member that isn't revolver Jesus or Chidori) tampered with the recordings on Ikutsuki's computer and cut the recording of Yukari's father to make the fall come and make Takaya's widh true, it would make strega "better" and Ikutsuki would have been in general more liked
@@JimboAverage I dunno. It makes sense. Why bother spending time and money to make new portraits for characters that haven't really undergone any physical changes? Ikutsuki especially, since he only has a very brief appearance.

Many people compare Shinjiro to Goro Akechi and Tohru Adachi. However, in my opinion, I think that is completely wrong. And it is Shuji Ikutsuki that should be compared to Goro Akechi and Tohru Adachi.
Kei Nanjo might be a suitable one IMO. Both are from Hierophant Arcana, both experienced traumatic murder related to Shadows (though in Shinjiro's case, it was accidental since Castor went berserk, while Nanjo witnessed his family butler being killed by Shadow's ambushes in hospital), and both were related to Mitsuru as well (Mitsuru and Shinjiro were school friends. Also, Kirijo Group were formerly a subsidiaries to Nanjo Group)

Because if you don't have the "gift" and you try to wake up your persona artificially, one of two things will happen to you: you will become a shadow (those black things in Tartarus) or your body will lose the ability to regulate your body temperature, killing you after a while.
I'd argue that while Sho isn't the perfect Persona Villain, he's certainly within the top 6. Shido ultimately failed as a Persona Villain and honestly, felt incredibly unrealistic, his goals were evil for the sake he needed to be evil for the plot. Most of Strega from P3 are actually incredibly well-written.. I'd argue that Sho is probably somewhere around there, he's definitely not better than Adachi or Akechi but I'd say Sho is still a great villain :D (I'm biased look at the pfp lol)
They likely didn't want to bring Dan Woren back for just a handful of lines, hence why Igor's one and only line in this game is voiced by Junpei's VA, and why Dojima's VA took over for Ikutsuki.
