You crash land on a planet full of hostile alien life forms who are empowered and frenzied by pollution and need to build a ship to get off of it (and in space exploration, build an FatL drive to escape the star cluster). If you are more eager for space exploration, or want to see an entire run, see DoshDoshington's playthrough. It's an entire run and gives a thorough idea into the scale of the mod. It has a bit less focus on storytelling, but is still entertaining

Nothing quite like sitting back and watching the xenos throw themselves into the meat grinder that is flamethrower turrets and a self-replenishing minefield. A personal favorite of mine.

Yo as someone with 3,000+ hours (i havent stopped playing for a while) i know the "lore" so you are a space man who crashlands and are "the only person who survived" tho there is a 5% chance that a robot (WHICH KILLS YOU) survives too. You just need to build and launch a rocket so that you can supposedly contact your home
The lore is the easy part. Factorio engineer was flying through space on his epic gamer ship, crashed on Nauvis and the game is about him building a rocket to leave

Quick thing, whenever Kit speaks and the video is playing it overrides the audio from the video. This migt be intentional, but it feels a bit annoying to listen to and jarring. I do appreciate the videos tho, its always fun to see somebody watch stuff i like. Keep it up man.

I'm still learning how to play this game but the walls I made had belts with ammo on them that fed into gun turrets around the walls.
