Fair idea at best, but build it with reverse and put a restat switch on it so you can go up stairs and control the speed and then you'll have something worth owning 😉👍

Only issue i would have is…how to free wheel if you dont need the assist….suggesting using a brush less motor built in the hub

The motor you are displaying is specified for 24V and the Li-ion battery is 36V...can the DC motor handle the higher voltage?
