I live in a city named Pacifica and there is a small area near the local Walgreens that is missing a tsunami siren even though there are federal signal moderators nearby, like at the state beach by the Taco Bell. I have written a simple scratch program to generate tones but lack a speaker array or DTMF decoder.
It’s confusing because the area lacking a tsunami siren is still susceptible to tsunamis. And they clearly have the budget for tsunami sirens as there are two if not more sirens in the town.
