    I started on the Panasonic 3500,AC -90 and will continue with it, I don't like to jump back and forth, but I see the advantages in other cameras, for me all the conditions for development on the Panasonic platform and I say this as a mechanical engineer by profession

      They all have advantages and disadvantages. Everybody has their reasons for choosing a certain brand or place importance over certain things

    Top video mate.. Found your channel as a fellow s5iix shooter and four years in doing UA-cam and can honestly say your advice is spot on. What can happen is kinda what happened to me, and my passion fo cinematogrphy was overtaken by building the UA-cam business (home theater niche) so the focus shifted - its hard to divide full time job with full time UA-cam!... so 2024 for me personally, I'm investing in stepping up my production value... I have all of the gear, a full automated multicam studio, but for all that, I miss going hand held and making something really cool.. keep up the great work, I'm becoming re-inspired watching all this excellent content!

      I appreciate you watching and glad you're enjoying! Love hearing a bit of your story. If you're getting inspiring by this stuff, just wait until you see what's on the horizon after I catch up on these great review videos😂 appreciate you watching and keep goin my friend!

      @@DustinArmstrongPro definitely am enjoying your style and as you're LUMIX focussed as well it just makes things better for me as I delve into full frame (finally!). 2024 for me is going to be a big push after building a solid base and business, I want to get into actual film making and story telling aspect of my niche... product reviews have been non-stop for me.. as you grow, you will find more and more and more companies of good standing will reach out and it becomes hard to resist... which can pull you off the path... But yes, I'm finally back to watching these types of videos that you're making, and I wish you all the success with your channel - I will definitely be watching regularly.

      @@BuildMontage There's not many of us LUMIX focused creators out there. They're definitely out there, but not like other camera systems it feels like. That's perfect man I got a lot of story based content in the works. Dude I'm definitely feeling that.... I'll definitely have to make sure I don't deviate too much cause I don't want to just do gear reviews haha. I wish you success as well! I will keep an eye out for you in the comments!

    Super helpful video, your timing couldn't be better. I just finished investing in equipment. ALSO; LOVE that hoodie I really wish Lumix would sell it to those of us who didn't get to travel for the event. Keep it up!

      Glad you found it helpful🙏 hopefully we can convince them to sell hoodies/merch like this. I think a lot of us passionate about the brand would buy stuff like this

    Hi Dustin, great tips! What 35mm cine lens is your favorite, or you use the most? I shoot with the GH5S, and S1H, looking to purchase a 35mm cine lens soon. Thanks for sharing the great content!

    oh, one more thing, I have a few lumecubes they're small, but capable. Wondering what other kinds of lights you would recommend for a beginner. Thank you!

    • @DustinArmstrongPro
      @DustinArmstrongPro  10 місяців тому

      Depends on your budget. I used a really cheap set of viltrox lights when I was first starting. But Godox is really affordable and great lights. I really like the new stuff zhiyun and smallrig have put out (the small lights). I think they're decently priced but not really budget lights. They are just small and light which I'm a huge fan of those.

      @@DustinArmstrongPro is there a certain type or name of lights that should be bought? Like overhead, key, etc?

    • @DustinArmstrongPro
      @DustinArmstrongPro  10 місяців тому

      Generally, you can use any light to be a key, overhead, spot, etc. There are certain lights that are more for something specific, but I don't think those lights you should worry about until you get further along. Just a versatile light is probably best at first if you can afford it

      @@DustinArmstrongPro awesome thank you. I checked out and followed your Amazon store super helpful. Gonna grab one of those smallrig lights I think. Lastly, is there a website or something where you can sign up to generate affiliate links to Amazon ?

      @@philrodfilms yes just google amazon affiliate. I use genius link with it as well so if anybody clicks the link it'll direct them to the relevant place based on their country
