Thanks for this series of interviews Greg and team. Theyve been brilliant for adding more background news and information while there's no racing to watch. Hope you co0ntinue with it throughout the year. Thankyou!!!

Great interview Greg. Really interesting to hear Roland’s thoughts. Supercars is just in a hopeless state. If you’re going to race stock cars (which is sadly what they are because someone still thinks Australians can do NASCAR better than the US) you better have really well-established driver personalities. Roland is spot on with this. “Who are these drivers?” I couldn’t confidently pick out Waters, Kostecki, Feeney, and Brown in a lineup. The only regular drivers in ‘24 that have a presence outside the sport would be Mostert, Reynolds, Courtney and Winterbottom? Maybe? How are you ever going to raise the profile of the drivers if you’re largely on PayTV?!? Compare that to the early 00’s when channel ten were covering the sport… You need REAL cars whose performance comes not from contrived artificiality, but from the differences in their components, and yeah you’re not going to get twenty cars within two tenths of each other, but at least it’s a genuine contest. To watch two manufacturers build a different engine each, place them in a stock chassis, dress them up in different body panels, and then go to the extreme lengths they are to have them perform exactly the same, all to then have the audacity to promote their company’s product based on it’s on-track performance over the other, is insulting. Guys, have everyone race the exact same cars and chuck GM stickers on half the field and Ford stickers on the other half and be done with it!!

Roland’s easily the best columnist in Australian motorsport media (if not Aussie motoring) at the moment. Long may his typewriter clack!

TCM’s is way more entertaining than the current V8SC’s as they represent old school HP, huge crowd appeal with little or no sponsorship and limited TV coverage!
    Similar situation with the S5000.

Cheers, guys, for the video.. I was shocked that RD didn't mention T8 once lmfao
DJR & Ford didn't work hard enough to make the Mustang a great car..What a joke RD, Supercars said both cars & engines were identical.
T8 made a chassis that SVG couldn't fit into as he's tall, back to drawing board.
Rob Herrod only took over the engine side as previous owner/build stepped away for health I think.
Was this just a T8 commercial, I hope they get smacked in 2024. #GoFord

The Supercars VCAT should have done better DJR had the parts in the test they removed 6mm off the rear aero of the Mustang and added front aero to Camaro...

If they had the part in the test why did they have to manufacture new parts for each aero updates during the season? You guys always like to make things up and spread your lies around, DJR did not do a good enough job and couldn't find the flaws within their design for half of the season.

What are you talking about the whole ford camp complained about how the vcat was conducted well before the start of the season. It was all ignored and when it was obvious suddenly there was new rules about when and how often the changes could be made.

@@John-ro3sh Homologation teams didn't get CFD data till August... They were losing downforce in corners VCAT only does straightline... Supercars took aero off rear at VCAT updates put less aero on front so parts were added and CFD showed rear aero was down in corners so wing was moved then span was added later they had wider wing parts at update...
