Won't you just LOOK and your amazing allotment! And I'm SUPER jealous of your Rainbow Mix! I have space for some carrots so I'm defo buying some Rainbow Mix seeds 🌈. Happy growing!
Thanks so much! I haven't grown them yet. Just recently purchased them from premier seeds direct for this year. Will most likely do a bunch in a potato grow bag. Definitely get some and try it out. 💪🏾😊
Lots of great seeds, I grew purple sprouting broccoli but it did not survive the winter here too much snow and cold. Here’s to a fabulous season, Ali 🥶🌞🇨🇦
I planted out cell grown onions, beetroot & sugar snap peas today, then the rain started. Tomorrow I need to finish putting up support for my broad beans & maincrop peas & plant out more lettuce. Thankfully, it looks like dry weather for the next week at least.
I'm growing onions for the first time this year. Although not out there yet, I'm unsure what to plant them with so I've been holding back. You're ahead of me with planting in the ground, I hope to catch up this week if the weather allows.
I have to start everything early because my garden is in lots of shade from buildings and a giant tree. The few hours that the sun shines on my garden means that I probably get only half a summer time. I've had to place my greenhouse (10×6 ft) on my patio in order to catch the sun. The rest of my garden is mostly shade so I can only grow leafy greens and corriander there! I grow alot vertically too. I have been growing here for 12 years and have adapted to it. It won't beat me! 😂
It sounds like you've adapted well and to carry on for 12 years means you must be successful over the years! Thanks for sharing, it's always nice to hear how strong will and determination leads to great things! 💪🏾
Kalettes are great, though I'll not start mine for another month, as they & brussels sprouts will go in after broad beans & garlic (I plant in between the garlic a month before I harvest it). How do you use the Thai basil?
I may try that in the garlic bed at the far end of my allotment. I've already started them so I'll just transplant them in between and make space by picking some green garlic. I use the Thai basil in my Thai curries and stir fries etc.

@@LifeAtTheHamids it was in the poly but temperature dropped to minus 18 this winter 🥶 perhaps I’ll try again
