Yep. Mine goes demon possessed when I try. We can hold hands all day, but when the nail clippers make contact it's 👹. One day I gave up and took her to 3 vets and 2 groomers, and we still only managed to get 3 paws done. 🤦🏼♀️ Now we have a groomer with a "hammock of humiliation" and it's an absolute breeze.
She is so precious! Our beagles also thought we were attempting murder when we clipped their nails. We finally started having one of us hold a spoon with peanut butter on it and letting them lick that while the other one clipped the nails.
I want to groom my beagle this way, but he hates everything about the process. He's not a fan of being wet, he hates blow dryers, and if I go anywhere near his nails with a cutter I'm getting chomped LOL.
KELLYYYYY!! Please …I need your help!! My beagle ( 1.8 years) got neutered in October and has not had his nails trimmed since!😬 This is horrible! I have brought him to three groomers and two vets. No luck with any of them. He growls and will bite me (which he has NEVER done before) if I simply go to lift his foot. Does he need to be “drugged”? His nails are soooo long. I feel horrible for him. I don’t want to overpower him with a muzzle and other restraints. That will just create nail trimming trauma forever. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (I must say, I was disappointed that the vets wouldn’t sedate him. I am not sure if that is “unethical” though.🤷🏻♀️)
for the love of your dog do NOT remove there whiskers. it is like if someone wold remove the feeling in you fingertips. the whiskers are for feeling the environment similar to vision and smelling.
Would it be okay for me to take my beagle to the groomer to get his coat trimmed even if he’s not a show dog? I don’t want to cut his whiskers or anything but his is really scruffy around his butt and stomach.
Thanks! The problem is she loves to dig holes, lay in them and roll in stinky things 😅 So if she’s washed she stays clean until I let her have unsupervised free time in the yard lol! I’ve very lucky that she doesn’t actually have that stinky frito smell 🤮
She doesnt like the shampoo you're using. Thats why she rolls around in dirt. My beagle gets washed every 3 months. We use no scents at all. No issues with smell or excess oils from over washing.
Thank you, I have a beagle mix (it’s a bit bigger and a bit longer kinda like a small foxhound or a really big beagle) and I was curious about what use for shedding, furminators sounds excellent, since I can use it on my cats as well ✌🏼
On my 4th beagle now, have loved every one as individual’s. what a great job that lady did 👍. Just through my dogs in the washing machine, 10 minutes they were done, easy 😂😂😂
I have been unable to cut my half beagle/half chihuahua terrier mix nails, she bites and we can't hold her still. She bites her nails shorter she's just over 2 years old now. She doesn't like her feet touched.
The brand I like to use is Tropiclean! They have a deshed shampoo and condition. It helps soften the hair follicles and so makes it easy to brush out dead hair!
a dog is definitly fine without whiskers ya. But removing a dogs whiskers is like removing your second lung. true you dont need it and your fine without them but whiskers help dogs with spacial awareness, enviromental conditons, traveling in the dark, balance and many more stuff.
No! Dogs whiskers are not as sensitive as some other animals likes cats and horses that really do use their whiskers for things. Since Pedal (the dog in the video) spends most of her days laying on the couch, she has no use for her whiskers and it doesn’t hurt them at all to remove them. The reason we do it on show dogs is to give the face a clean, smooth appearance.
I really hope mine could be stay still like that. Even she's more and more calm now, she used to cried and whinned a lot, she even crawling and climbing to my shoulder like a little monkey when she touched the water 😅🤣
@@xxyy1318 Its warm water of course. After some praising, treats, walking in the rain and swimming.. Thanks God she used to get a bath now. I think she more doesn't like the smell of the shampoo than the water itself (even i already use the mild lavender one) 🥲
If a dog is blind or has bad vision you shouldn’t shave their whiskers. I don’t show dogs or groom dogs but I don’t see the difference between a pet groom and a show groom.
I just adopted a 5 year old Male Australian Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog, Beagle mix 🐕 #sleepytundra and after trying to give him a good bath twice in a slippery 🛁 bathtub. I got him Fluff and Stuff Cleveland Ohio grooming ... I really wanted to see the process in the mobile groomer van. So I'm here for the show, curiosity, interest. I was so worried 😆 🤣 #CesarMilan
Pure animal cruelty. The poor dog just got mutilated. Whiskers play an extremely important role in both dogs and cats. Their tips are equipped with numerous receptors that send a signal to the brain in no time at all. Which signal? There is usually something in their way, especially when the field of view is very limited. It is thanks to whiskers that cats are known for their perfect and silent movement in the dark and in difficult conditions.
Whiskers grow back (quickly might I add), and you’re wrong, they aren’t that important for dogs. She’s a spoiled dog who gets love and attention, no animal cruelty at all 😂
@@kellythegroomer8672 Trimming your mustache or removing it completely is unacceptable! A dog's whiskers are on his face for a reason. It's good to know what their functions are and why they are so significant, and here we come to the chase - what are a dog's whiskers for? As mentioned earlier, the whiskers are highly innervated, which allows the dog to… navigate properly in the world around it. As you know, canine eyesight is not perfect. Dogs are especially difficult to see objects that are very close. Fortunately, whiskers come in handy, as they act as an additional organ of touch and allow dogs to see how close a wall or object is to their path. It can be said that the whiskers transmit warning signs to the pooch's brain, thanks to which the quadruped is better oriented in space. A dog's vibrations make it possible to locate and recognize various types of objects and are very useful at night. Although a dog's eyes are adapted to seeing in the dark, it would be difficult to navigate in the dark without the help of a mustache. Whiskers play an important role for dogs of all ages, but are extremely important for aging dogs whose eyes no longer function as they should. Thanks to the innervated mustache, seniors can easily find their way in space.
How can you shave dog’s whiskers???!!!! 😮😧Don’t you know whiskers serve a purpose for the dog and it is HIGHLY PAINFUL for dogs to get their whiskers shaved??? I think you need to talk to a VET before going on with this practice! I’d never let my dog to be groomed by you, ever!
Los perritos se estresan estar asi tanto tiempo no les daa agua comida no me husta ver un perrito que lo precionen haser posturas immaginate nosotros nos estresa muchas cosas como seran ellos pobresitos
Beagles are notorious for hating the nails being clipped. Our Lucy would howl like we were murdering her 😂
mine turns on kill mode when the groomer gets the nail clipper out
Same here. It requires 3 people to cut nails of my beagle. I could not believe he is so strong
So happy to report pedal has been improving a lot recently with her behavior during nail trims! I should post an updated video!
Would it help turning it belly up?

My beagle surrender when bath time.
But there's no way his nails are gonna get clipped 😂
Beagle is the most dramatic dog ever
LOL!
beagle dog face
🐆🐕🦺🦮🐶 Boy, are they ever!!
I wanted to get a furminator for my beagle but noticed like 3 different models. Which one do you recommend for a beagle?
Thanks for the video! My dog hasn’t been groomed in a while and after following a bit of your tutorial, my baby looks like a puppy again. Thanks

Wonderful work very professional. Why r beagles sensitive about their paws? My Frisky doesn't like the buzzing of a blower, no sprays.
for the love of your dog do NOT remove there whiskers. it is like if someone wold remove the feeling in you fingertips. the whiskers are for feeling the environment similar to vision and smelling.
removing whiskers is technically not harmful but it is similar to blindfolding your dog for a long time or until there whiskers grow back
I wish my beagle could stay for 5 minutes 🤣
That's a problem. Google is your friend.
Amo El es,%
same thing, I can barely brush him for 10 s and the nails? Forget about it, only while sleeping lol
Mine would if I was constantly feeding him cheese
Petal is such a good girl. My Jerry didn't like water at all. Even if we were on a lake, he only loved the dry parts.

If you’re having issues with odor, clean the feet and ears every week. I never have issues with my beagle. But totally get it. It’s a frito smell.

I’m glad my beagle is a pet and hunter. You get near his butt with those clippers you would have to scrape him off the ceiling 🤣😂

What is the product you use for ear cleaning? 😊
Loved your video, it was really informative. Can you please post a list of all the tools you used, as that would be extremely helpful. Thanks :)
I am going to make an updated video soon and will include all the tools! Thanks for watching!

Very helpful video.. i love beagles🥰
Thanks for watching! Beagles are great!!
Where can I find you, I have my beagle and he need a grooming
I have been unable to cut my half beagle/half chihuahua terrier mix nails, she bites and we can't hold her still. She bites her nails shorter she's just over 2 years old now. She doesn't like her feet touched.
Could u show how she carried herself in the show..the earlier ones
My BEAGS has never had a smell, nor has he had any issues with his ears. ? N never gets a bath. I've never heard such a thing about Beagles??
It wasn’t that serious of a comment 😅 She rolls in the dirt and digs holes, like a lot of dogs do and so she doesn’t stay fresh smelling long!
What deshedding shampoo do you recommend?
Never heard of de shedding shampoo before, where do I get it from?
The brand I like to use is Tropiclean! They have a deshed shampoo and condition. It helps soften the hair follicles and so makes it easy to brush out dead hair!
Excellent, my beagle moults like no tomorrow, will see if I can get it, ta
I have 2 beagles and it's a great video! Sometimes the amount of undercoat thats coming out is overwhelming 😅
Doggy is so clean, and stincks pretty!
How many days before a show would you do her clipper work?
Why dont you use a Hydro Surge???? BEAUTIFUL Beagle!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching!
such a behave dog..my lil blue would've tried to cry and claw his way out of things like this..but I still love him though..
How old she is
Your beagle is beautiful, did you get her from a specific breeder?
Awesome work. All the best for upcoming titles
My beagle also hates her nails and paws to be touched.
Peddle is cute I have a beagle to she has so much fur around her neck .

Dog whiskers shed anyways so it's fine to clip them .
World class spa for four legged friends.
she is very beautiful and cute. Thank you for your informative video
It's hard to resist a Beagle.
I really hope mine could be stay still like that. Even she's more and more calm now, she used to cried and whinned a lot, she even crawling and climbing to my shoulder like a little monkey when she touched the water 😅🤣
Not funny. Was it too hot or cold??

This beagle definitely has a yeast infection in her ears, this is not just dirt. The owner can get drops from the vet
She’s beautiful
Beagle they cute
Sounds I love sound and barking they love snack
nice beagle and i must say you have very nice voice.☺️ 👍
Love the video, only Thing I didn't like was shaving off the wiskers. Dogs have them for a reason. Lovely Dog tho, such a cutie!
They shed anyways their whiskers.

I wouldn't want my Beagle and Bagle (Bassett Hound mixed Beagle) or any other dogs have their whisker hairs or any other facial whiskers).
If I tried that, mine would attack me!!!!!
Lol! Beagles can be feisty!
que bonita Petal.... podrias hacer a un bulldog ingles?
She’s beautiful..touchwood ❤️
Mine trying bite me too
very nice information mam...thank you so much...

Such a beauty. My favorite breed of dog is a Beagle. ❤ Reward this puppy with a new toy.
Please say with what knife ???????
I’m sorry, I don’t know exactly what you are asking...do you want to know what particular tool or blade I’m using? For the shaving I use a #10 blade.
Kelly los beagles no necesitan tanta estética porque su piel es especial no lo nececitan
Men cut Excellent
For doggies especially Beagle
Next time you breed her again I would love to get one of her puppies that has her face she’s absolutely beautiful. Her face is like our chewy
How about ADOPTING A SHELTER DOG?? They run the risk of being put down if no one adopta them.

I would say wash once every week at minimum for a beagle
I've washed mine twice in 3 years......
