Before even reading anything, the ingame sprites, music and then art style of the characters made me think "Camelot must have made this".
Looks like I have a new game to pick up.
Had to repro mine, but totally worth it just to be able to play it. All I needed was a Pseudo Saturn Kai to get it running on my Saturn.

@@zylowolf7919 Don't forget the callback in Shining the Holy Ark in the first town... "There's something Shining in the Darkness under the bed, will you take it?" I need to get on playing Golden Sun one day, SitD and StHA are two of my favorite games of all time. You recommend playing GS on original hardware, or should I go the Retroarch route?

A very underappreciated battle theme. This is in my top 5 list of best ost tracks ever.
I love that slight tempo change on the bubble cannon, I used to get slowdown there on the console too haha nice touch :)

Shining the Holy ark and then his huge sequel Shining Force 3 (story start 10 years after)
I remember playing this game when I was a kid, gees, long time ago. My three favorite Saturn games, Shining Force 3 (Camelot), Shining the Holy Ark (Camelot) and Panzer Dragoon Saga (Team Andromeda).
Golden Sun is a spiritual successor to the shining series since Sega in their stupid ways decided to hand over the shining series to an Otaku whom was only interested in making Otaku fap material instead of good games... oh how the shining series has fallen. Also other shit Sega did around the shining series (blanket flagging on youtube anything related to Shining Force 3 ) is why I now avoid buying anything Sega.
I totally agree with all of this. Shining Resonance Refrain is an insult to the series. Sega needs to get rid of Tony Taka. That guy is just a damn hentai artist.
The original artist from Camelot passed away, and on the same day Sega made a post on twitter praising Tony Taka to advertise the American release of Shining Resonance Refrain. I cried. I swore. I yelled at Sega.
What's worse, there are kids who have never experienced a Camelot game and won't even give the old ones a chance. Golden Sun used to OWN the GBA. But it's been so long that those fans moved on and new kids who play crap like Xenoblade and Shining Resonance have replaced them. Unless they do something new, kids don't care.

@@MyNewSoundtrack Castle theme is kinda cool. Title screen theme is freaking beautiful. Then there's the introduction of Arthur, Melody, and Forte from the beginning of the game... cmon dude!

Wow you aren't kidding, if I didn't see the title I'd have thought this is some sort of missing Golden Sun Game. The first two golden sun's were awesome...the third was eeeeeeh.

Sounds like VRC6 sounds to me. Flute could be a sine wave or triangle with added reverb.
