So this is the passion project Connor mentioned on the podcast that he’s been working on for a while now, he must’ve just needed the permission from each species of monkey to use them in the video which is why it took so long

Fun fact: in the Henry Doorly zoo, an orangutan named fu Manchu would pick the lock when the zookeepers left and left their enclosure for a while until then came back. The headkeeper thought it was someone being careless and leaving it unlocked. He was ready to fire someone, but they found out that it was just fu hiding a piece of wire between his lip and gums. The fact that they are that smart makes them an immediate s tier to me

What is your opinion on him putting orangutans and bonobos on a *MONKE* tier list?
@@ismael8391 in terms of actual science a failure. But as a tier list by a monke it’s a good effort, especially realising the greatness of orangutans (not biased at all because I study orangutans 🦧). Connor did miss two awesome monkeys though, the Thomas langur with its awesome mohawk and the uakari because it’s also called the Englishman monkey because it’s bald and red faced looked like epic sunburn haha

15:04 reminds me of an incident in South Africa where a women found her baby crying in the arms of a male baboon. She and a neighbour managed to scare off the baboon, who dropped the baby. The baby had bite marks on it and unforutanetly didn't survive. It's theorized that since male baboons don't normally just waltz into human homes and steal babies, the baboon mistook the baby's crying for the sounds of a lamb or something and thought "sweet! Some free food nearby.". IDK if the baboon was ever caught.
