Xbox 360 Phat Thermal Paste Replacement and Disassembly (Falcon)

My intentions with this video is to show how to dissasemble, clean and change the thermal paste on the Phat 360. This video will have a second part where i fix the DVD drive, clean the case and restore it to my standards.

Dude I've worked on a LOT of computers and consoles and i swear the thermal paste on the Xbox 360 was the hardest to remove out of anything I've ever worked on.

Your right, did you worked on the original xbox too? The thermal paste on those is even worse.

My cpu heat sink is a little loose after replacing thermal paste should I bend the X clamps a little to help hold it in more?

If it's loose I would recommend bending it a little.

Had too use butt of a screw driver to hammer the x brackets 😢
