Tell Epson they really ought to let us use the Edge RIP. It's available for download on Epson's support page for the F570, but you can't use it without a license. But Epson won't give you a license number and they won't sell you one. They just say nope. Even though some people in the US DID get the Edge RIP, that apparently was a mistake. Even though the Edge RIP apparently still ships with printers in some countries, but not the US. So it will work, we just can't have it. Great support, Epson! Yeah, I know it prints using the driver shipped with it but it's very basic. I WANT THE EDGE RIP, EPSON!

The printer prints on sublimation paper. But you can transfer printing by sublimation to a thick wooden surface (or plywood). to do this, you will need a thermal press. The surface must first be covered with a thin layer of transparent acrylic varnish. after transfer, moisten the paper with ordinary water for easy separation.

Absolutely! You can sublimate anything really up to 24" wide.
Does this printer have its own application like creative studio from sawgrass?
Hello! It does have a program, called Edge, but, it is not a formal design program, like Creative Studio. We would still recommend using PhotoShop, Corel Draw or another program.
How do I get my F570 to print on a sheet instead of the roll? Trying to print a sheet of Sublimation vinyl and it keeps printing from the roll.
Keysa, you will go into the F570 driver settings. First, I like to change the document and output size, to the size sheet you wish to print onto. Then, you will change the Source to Auto Sheet Feeder - this information can be found under Print Settings of the F570 driver.

We’re new to printing so we accidentally bought smaller sheets of heat transfer paper which are the Jet Opaque II thinking it was heat transfer like the one that the machine comes with(the roll) We loaded it up and then it got stuck in the machine. We realized it has a transfer film almost like vinyl or it probably is vinyl lol 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ anyway, we searched and found your video on Opaque II paper and thought it’s perfect for sublimation because it’s so easy. I was wondering if there’s a way we can change settings on the printer that will allow us to print this paper without getting stuck. We did try changing the settings to thick paper however, it didn’t work. We really would love to use this printer to its full potential to get great results on cotton and blends other than polyester 😊
Is the epson surecolor f170 also able to use with your phone?
Kimberly, we have not worked with the Epson F170 to guarantee this option. However, based off of the Epson F170 User Guide, using your phone is not an option - either network, or USB with your computer appears to be the best option.
how much are the replacement ink? what's the average cost per shirt to print? what is maintenance like ? Thank you.

Cost will vary on your size print, and the color density levels, if you have adjusted, other factors come into play as well. We recommend printing weekly, or at least bi -weekly and running a nozzle check in between printer down time.
What size heat press do you use for the larger jobs?

Thanks for the question! The size of the heat press is user preference. 16x20 seems to be industry standard for most jobs. But if you think you will be doing larger items, you may consider something larger!

if you heat transfer it to a tshirt, how many washes before it fades out?
The video you were watching was for the Epson F570 Sublimation printer. When you transfer to a polyester t shirt, it is permanent and will not fade.

Hello! No, printable vinyl is not an option with the Epson F570, due to the vinyl's thickness.

Hello! This printer will only handle sublimation paper rolls/sheets. If you are interested in printing with printable heat transfer vinyl. The Mutoh solvent models would be recommended. Can you print graphics on this epson such as stikcers and car wraps for utv
Hi Cristian, you are not able to print onto any material, other than Sublimation paper. Stickers and car wrap material would not be able to run through this machine.

Epson does have a Solvent printer. At this time, it is not a product we carry from Epson. We do offer other selections of Solvent printers.

Haley, there is not, at least not one that we have worked with. We offer the Epson F570 that prints 24", or the Epson 6370 that prints 44".
Does the printer ink clogs if you don't use it frequently?
Hello Alex, great question! If you do not use the printer for quite some time, such as a few months, you will notice issues. It is recommend to print at least weekly, and in between do nozzle checks.

Hello! Coastal does offer other models that are larger in width. The Epson F570 however, prints up to 24". Yes, free standing.

Hi Tedz! Numbers for supply usage, and pricing, would be an estimation, as a lot of variables must be considered. Such as paper brand, size of your image, color input into your image, and if you have adjusted any settings within the driver - in terms of color. We cannot get a true estimation.

Hello! You would be able to do an all over print with a child's small on the Epson F570. The printer is a Sublimation printer and is ready to start transferring upon setup.

Hello! We have not tried printing continuously for that long of time. You would have to be careful that your nozzles do not drop out in that time period, since it would be consistent printing.

The ink box will fill really quick for sure if you plan to print for long time. The box that it came with fill out really quick the first times I used it to try it and made so much mistakes .

The ink is a gel based, high capacity ink which means it has a least double the coverage of traditional water based ink.
Can I use a 8.5x 11 sheet with this printer as well or is it just for large printing?

EasySubli will not work well with the F570. We have experienced over saturation and feeding issues. We do have a few options for multi purpose, or textile options such as Jetcol DHS, TA, and the very popular Sublicolor SuperSport Tacky.
3 questions: Does it self-clean if not used often? Does is use a waste ink cartridge? When was it manufactured?
Mike, the Epson F570 does not have a maintenance cycle. However, this printer does offer an improved design, which limits the need for everyday maintenance. If not printing weekly, we would highly recommend a nozzle check before a job is sent to ensure the lines are not clogged. The F570 does have a waste ink container - the maintenance tank, which is a replaceable consumable. The new PRO edition was manufactured in 2021.

Hello! The printer will feed transfer paper. However, since this printer is a Sublimation printer, we would not recommend this printer for heat transfer paper. You will need an inkjet printer.

Great question. No, you will not be able to print/use printable heat transfer vinyl. The machine is capable of printing sublimation, using standard Sublimation media.

Great question. We have in the past, ran Siser EasySubli HTV through the Epson F570. We reduced our color density in order to get the best print.

No, lighter colors and poly blend (higher the blend, brighter the color. minim of 50%)
Look for a product called Siser EasySubli. It's a printable heat transfer vinyl that's design to take sublimation inks. You contour cut around the image after you print onto the vinyl, then you press that to a 100% cotton or full color t-shirt.

NO. sublimation is ONLY for polyester. research DTG printers for cotton

Hi! You can use 8.5x11 up to user specified sheets not to exceed 24" wide. You are able to use all types of Dye sub paper, you will just need to check with the manufacturer for profiles.

Sandra, yes, you can use a 13"x19" Sublimation sheet. This can be accomplished by flipping forward the sheet feeder, and placing the sheet right behind that sheet feeder.

Hello! It would not be recommended. This printer ink system and head, is only meant for Sublimation ink.
Epson really needs to work on allowing thicker media. Also, maintenance cartridges should be made reusable. All they are is an ink-dump. It's ridiculous to charge money for what's essentially a sponge that could be wrung out.

I have this printer! I’m having issues with my color. I printed on 100% polyester t-shirt. It comes out dull. I have the small printer as well and everything I print on is dull. HELP!!!
Hello! Are you working with 100% white polyester for the best color output? Have you also tested your heat press for accuracy since both printers are having issues? We use the Epson driver on the standard profile when printing.

Good Morning> The Epson F570 is a sublimation printer. It does come with a multi purpose roll paper that can be used with both fabric and hard surface items. You can also use sheeted sub paper as well.

Yes, as long as your print is large enough for your T-shirt and your press is large enough to cover one side of the T-shirt at a time.

Polyester but you can use easily subli transfer on cotton shirts
I read a comment from someone stating that you can't print on black shirt. Is this true?
That is correct. With sublimation, you cannot print on black, and it works best on white and light-colored shirts. This is because the ink is translucent and dyes the fabric. If you would like to print on black or dark-colored T-shirts, another decoration method would work better such as laser heat transfer paper.
Awesome, I didn’t know you could load laser heat transfer paper into this printer. I was skeptical because of the limitations on what color garments can be produced with sublimation. If switching out the paper does justice I’m sold.

Hello! Yes, the F570 can print 13"x19" sheets. For this you will need to bring forward the auto sheet feeder on the printer, and place the 13"x19" paper directly behind in order to have a successful feed.
Do you know how long the maintenance tank lasts? I've had the printer less than a month and will already be going on my third tank. I've only gone through one of the 17" rolls.

Hello! Color profiling would be up to the customer. Coastal uses, and recommends the Epson driver settings. If the colors from the transfer do not meet the customer's requirements. Then the customer would need to color profile.

The machine is not a print and cut?
Hello! The F570 is a Sublimation printer. This printer will print your design, after printing it cuts the footer edge in a straight line. You can turn this option off. If you turn the option off, you will have to use a knife, or scissors, to remove the paper from the printer.
The paper is on 2" cores right? This nowhere documented by epson.

It's impossible to print the correct colors. The blues have a red tint, almost purple.
