Great Info! I have noticed my sales have gone up significantly in the past few weeks. I list consistently. Send out offers. I also just changed my store over to 1 day shipping and free returns. It was scary but my sales have increased a ton. So far so good. Thanks for all the great info you share. I always go into my local UPS store and physically hand my items to an employee and watch them check to make sure weights and all are accurate with my shipping labels on the boxes and packages. I’ve never had any adjustments when doing that. And if so then I would be able to take care of it right then and there. No surprises
I put my store on vacation for 2 days and sold twice as much that weekend 😅

I see soo many click bait titles/negative comments around sales as of late. Mine have been higher than ever. The “don’t buy what *you* want…buy what *they* want” is some of the best advice you can give. Switching to only 40+% STR items (with some very minor exceptions) made a huge difference. Went to the much hated goodwill earlier today, spent $11.78 & plan to make $72.00 after eBay fees with my items (conservatively).~ It's out there, play hard!

I have been watching your videos and getting so excited to start my resealing journey until I just watched a video of a lady being scammed on FB Marketplace. It was a link sh opened and now I’m terrified of being scammed. Is EBay and Poshmark safer and as a newbie should I steer clear of FB Marketplace? Have you ever been scammed when selling items on EBay?

Even in a mailer it’s between$4-$5, is there a cheaper way or just suck it up? Always thankful for your help!

@jride my question, as someone who started recently with reselling, is it a waste of time to be going into GW and looking up almost everything just to get a better understanding of what things are worth? Or would my time be better spent watching more creators on UA-cam to gather knowledge that way?

Thanks for the great videos. I hope business continues to go well. I just started reselling on ebay, as a side hustle, and am loving it. I have been fixing up consoles and reselling other items from thrift stores that I go to. My father is a skeptical about me doing this, but things seem to be going well. He is in the old school mindset and keeps suggesting that I should buy a multifamily house and rent that out (if I want to make some side cash). While that is a great idea, it is not work that I want to invest my time into.
My question is, at first, how did you convince the people around you that reselling is not a gimmick and instead profitable?

Why do you have to convince them? That's their issue. The only person you have to convince is yourself.
@@WellnessWizdom You are right. I do not have to prove it to them, but I also do still live with them and my dad is an overly neat person (so am I). So, it gets tiring hearing him make comments about the "clutter" in my room.
That being said, if I have a good reason (in his mind) to have this "clutter" then he will leave me be.

I really hate the AI descriptions -- I think sellers should avoid them and write their own. The generated text is so generic and uninformative, imo.
Everyone hates everything made by Ai, we will come to a point where we discard the bits of fakeness we’ve used for decades like CGI and autotune, everyone is realizing that the point of being human and the reason anything we do matters is because of our limitations
If you're selling the right types of items/brands you don't need a description. The 2 circumstances I put descriptions is if its a very expensive item ($150+) or if there are disclaimers where I don't want returns. I imagine that the only reason people are seeing my item is because they typed the model number into ebay specifically and already know what it is
