Yknow, the comments on all Brawl matches seem to be a variation of "I MISSED BRAWL" or "I HATE BRAWL" or "PROJECT M INSTEAD" and like. I feel like once people get over that, competitive Brawl might actually gain a following again.
I will always love brawl, the game is just less about combos and more about individual hits you see :) thats how I see it anyway. I like smash 4 because its a balance of combos and reads

The combo game is so weak, most of the cast sucks, if the game ever made a comeback it would go back to Meta Knight simulator, because Meta Knight is one of the most broken video game characters in all of history where the rest of the cast is just not viable but for a few exceptions. The reason what's happening now is happening is because people aren't putting forth the time to prove just how boring the game would get at the top level.
Samuel vi Britannia If Brawl is gonna make any kind of competitive comeback, even a tiny one, MK and IC's have to be banned at all tournaments. That's a given. Also if you're bringing up combo game, you probably know very little about competitive Brawl, no offense. It has never been about combo game. It's about mindgames, character knowledge, matchup and stage knowledge, knowing exactly the punish to use against certain characters at certain percents, stuff like that.
@@SeightJam yeah, that Smash 4 reception of Sonic is back. But I think that's mostly these days. The overly boring Sonic play will probably tone down when offline is back
I saved the replays ladies :) I' have them on my Wii U, he played Diddy too. I'd say I'm a pretty skilled player I have a 83% win rate in 1v1's and it was a pretty challenging series tbh, but that in no way means it didn't happen. Aside from showing you the replays I dunno how to prove it but I believe he put his nickname as slapstick or some shit like that when he played Diddy.
