I was there for JJ Cale in Jan. of '77. We came out after a great, almost 3 hour show to 8 inches of fresh snow. One of my favorite concert memories. Saw some great shows at PB's starting about '76, the ones I can remember; JJ, BB King, George Thorogood, Nighthawks, Jerry Jeff Walker, Papa John Creach, Harry Chapin, Bonnie Raitt, Dixie Dregs, Leon Russell, and regional favorites like Snuff and Super Grit Cowboy Band. Hate PB's is gone. RIP JJ. Thank You!
A great friend of mine who was living in Boone and had attended Appalachian State took me to P.B.Scott’s on a night out. No concert that night but I marveled at the interior and exterior of the building. I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else. It was in a wet county so we enjoyed our night out.😆
I remember Bonnie and I never got to see her again because I was grounded at Agnes Scott College for being late coming in one night -she was playing in Atlanta that weekend and I couldn’t go😢
I went to ASU in the early 1980s, did the Country Show on Saturday mornings at the campus station and washed dishes across the parking lot at Coffee's. I saw a number of the shows mentioned including BB King, and Ricky Skaggs. There was a run of shows in the spring of my senior year that I attended that included King, Skaggs, Jerry Jeff Walker, John Hartford and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I was struggling to get term papers completed study for finals and trying not to miss any of the great shows at the same time. Someone at the campus station came in one afternoon with free tickets to a Monday or Tuesday show. PB's was afraid of poor attendance for this unknown band coming up from Georgia and wanted to get some people in the door. I passed because I was facing deadlines and wanted to graduate. It turned out that the band was REM! Local / regional bands that came through that I enjoyed a lot were Super Grit, The Spongtones and The Bill Lyerly Band. The place was great. I only wish it could have hung on longer.

P B Scott's is a wonderful memory.
Delbert will always be my favorite
Loved PB Scott's. I took the photos of the Spongetones that you used! Just FYI. ;-)

Loved that place! Shook hands with BB King after a show there in '82. Spongetones, Sidewinder and Cruise-a-Matic always delivered great shows.
Very cool!
I can relate, I toured with B B😅
Did you ever play at PB Scotts?
