I always say, Sometimes spice is about interesting tech choices that you include in the deck, but other times spice is about what you DONT include in the deck.
I've been on the fence about taking out Crystal Heart for more extra deck space and you convinced me to take it out. I never go the Crystal Heart route and when i do i regret not going the Toad route because the field spell/boss monster just gets outed so easily without Toad.
#HarpieGang I heard that marincess was going to be something with the additions but I did not expect to see it go toe to toe with Chris's dragon link. I'm still knew to the game but if I had all the hand traps I would try to make this deck it looks great :)
It's even more funny when you realize it's name is "The god that is Turtle." Been thinking of ending the board with Anemone and summoning it with the effect as a going first board. Maybe adding some icejades will throw it in grave or something.
Casual players can also run handtraps haha. If ash is too expensive it can be replaced with more marincess cards, and since it's for casual play whichever marincess you like will do.
Crystal heart doesn't actually play around nibiru though. To get to Crystal heart in a meaningful way you are already going to use your best marincess effects (slug, angel, anemone) So even if you get Crystal heart in the Emz before coral. They can nib there, and sure your Crystal heart is fine, but if you have any additional extender, it's still very hard to climb into a link 4. The best way imo to play around nib. Is to hold 2 extenders (dive maiden or dive springirl) Idk, nibiru is a tough card for the deck without tactics or designator. Crystal heart CAN play around nib ever so slightly, but your hand has to be turbo gas and overall not worth it in my mind still.
Just fyi, Sleeping Maiden actually special summons itself as long as you have a Marincess CARD on the field. So she can actually protect your field spell from destruction if you were to run Crystal Heart in your extra deck. And if you do, I'd drop one of the Sea Angels for it. I run 1 Sea Angel because I can easily recycle her back into the extra deck and still run full combo on turn 3 and still get Acesscode Talker out for game. Nice profile though. Mine is similar.
I am aware of sleepy maidens summoning condition. Her protect effect never actually comes up tho because she is always used as an additional extender to be linked off with. And even if she is on field. The field spell isn't safe from some of the very common answers like knightmare unicorn.
Finally someone agrees playing the full Accesscode package with Transcode … like why bother including it if not, popping 1 does nothing! Pascalus + any Marincess is 5300 Accesscode with 2 pops if you run the full package!
I am working more with a swap frog version. But a list won't be out for it for quite some time. Essentially you can just remove some of the flex spots. Droll for example. And add 3 swaps and a ronin
@@TopTierGamingYGO I’m prepping for Chicago nats and decided on a deck but I’m seeing a lot of marincess success and wanted to test the deck out but there’s a lot different ratios for the deck and I currently don’t own access code atm and was thinking of testing frogs and adding in an extra toad, the Argonaut dupe frog lock looks interesting on paper. Do you think cynet mining at 3 is mandatory ?
Overall I am not a fan. The reason being is coral triangle locks the ENTIRE turn to water. Meaning if you summoned anything from the brave package you can't search wave. It's a cool way to go second. But transcode also locks the ENTIRE turn into cyberse which can make thing awkward. There are too many locks imo to play it in marincess.
forme i think marinecess wave is good you say it not a hand yes it hand trap wen you have a link 3 or higher you activate marinecess wave from your hand. but it if they do not have the link 3 or 4 .
So the only complaint I have about this list is that you're actually missing a key piece to the Marincess package. Crystal heart is important and I only found that out back in the days when people were abusing verte. Because you can special summon so much you can turn 1 link into your Crystal heart and then link into a 3 or 4 marincess. Now for me I've beaten alot of those decks because of the field spell making marbled rock go as far as 5200 and sometimes more. Add in the fact that because of Crystal heart, your marbled rock doesn't die to card effects so just torrential tribute or dark hole
Well you have argonaut and toad that could negate something like a cosmic cyclone. But yes, if your field spell is outed you must play the rest of the game without the field spell. Which is usually fine honestly, because you have already summoned the monster that needed the field spell the most, being argonaut.
Congrats on the top! Did you brick on hand traps at all? This build has a very high going second count. Most builds I’ve seen run the frog engine or at least an extra 3 extenders in the form of sea nettle, shtana, or angler.
Yes there was one game where I only drew flex spots. Tactics, droplets and hand traps. Luckily they let me survive until I could draw engine. I'm still considering swap frog. But him by himself is tough, and he can be weird in hands with only 1 marincess as well. If you open swap and another frog though it is insane.
@@TopTierGamingYGO ah I see, but I guess a lot of your flex spots end turns on their own too. I’m also on the fence with the frogs, but I find it makes some hands a bit awkward and I like my combos to be linear (less thinking lol). But thanks for the clarity man! 💪🏽
I play 2 wave in my marincess, & it shut down the sky striker player. He grabbed engage from grave cause of the monster effect & said the wave crashes down the no
Decent deck profile but this build is way too expensive for anyone seeing this who’d probably gotten the latest legendary duelist box that might want to get into the game
I mean. This is a First Place deck profile, so it's by no means pretending to be a budget list. I gave alternatives for forbidden droplets as the card is not accessible to everyone. If some cards in here are out of a players budget, they can be replaced with the swap frog package or more hand traps : )
Agreed. Pascalus is also better follow up and extender from deck off dive, and imperm is a better 6th card and plays around called by and tactics. They are all great cards in different scenarios : )
Crystal heart help you play through nibiru. You would never lose to nibiru because it uneffected by monster effects itself. Even if they out the field spell on their turn it doesn’t matter it just help you keep your board safe. Also if you aren’t gonna play crystal heart than play at least two wave. There’s no point of playing marincess if you wasn’t even trying to have waves protection every game. Just play salad
Even with 1 wave, you will always be able to access it through triangle. Wave is not a card I particularly want to draw for all the reasons I gave in the profile. Also Crystal heart very rarely actually does anything to play through nibiru. There are no lines without 3 plus marincess names that get you to Crystal heart in emz and coral underneath it, to where you get nibbed on the coral summon either which way. And if you get nibbed there you would have needed like 4+ extenders to play past it. There are MANY lines that lead to coral first and then Crystal heart underneath her. However, Crystal heart is only unaffected in the EMZ, and by the time it is on board you are able to be nibiru'd
@@TopTierGamingYGO granted. I haven't had many opportunities to play recently with the new cards but I did playtest them online. It's getting the most out of the field spell simply put. When it comes to Resources I think the deck has enough to be consistently make toad and an unaffected link 4. The trap only makes things unaffected if you get to use it and you only get to use it if they don't clear the monster another way. I guess I found myself in games hoping my opponent committed a monster worth hitting with wave b4 clearing my bubble Reef and if they don't I'm basically OTKd. I hear what you're saying about being forced to choose between toad and crystal heart but I feel like with proper ratios I tend to be able to do both just fine.
@@prixswrld there are lines where you can go for toad and unaffected link 4. But those only happen in your good hands and they usually cut you off from adding wave. And I would rather have wave than unaffected off of Crystal heart. Wave is a spot negate and is recyclable. If the field spell gets outed you lose all benefits from the Crystal heart anyway. I'm not saying Crystal heart is a terrible option. I just found in most lines I couldn't go for it as I get wave and toad, and it was taking up a crucial extra deck slot
Pascal doesn't do anything that coral or marbled rock can't already do. Running 1 is sketch. Running 2 is like, what are you even doing? If you want toad, you're better off just playing the Frog engine.
Obviously marbled rock and coral anemone can also grab spells/traps. However, pascal does it better. 1. Pascal can be the first action in your main phase and can add wave back before you go into your plays on turn 3 which is AMAZING. 2. If she grabs back dive/wave, anemone and rock can add back monster extenders which is also good. 3. Pascalus is an amazing extender, especially from deck with dive. 4. Opening 1 Pascalus is the same as opening 1 springirl as they get you to the same board, so it's not even like opening her by herself is bad. The only downside with her as opposed to something like springirl is that pascalus is weaker on normal to veiler and imperm if you open up blue tang as well. But that doesn't take away that pascalus is a way better follow up tool compared to springirl.
I’m starting to really like this channel
I was waiting for this! 🔥🔥🔥

Consider running zealantis in marincess deck.
It is a board wipe and can be used as boss monster for this deck
As someone who hasn’t played since 2012.. looking at this deck blows my mind, the format is so fast now
Honestly I bet there are decks from 2012 that could beat marincess.
Can you kindly write down or make a video of the Marincess deck profile but without the hand traps? For casual plays and keep up the awesome work!
Casual players can also run handtraps haha.

Can you do a Weather Painter deck profile?
Well, on the plus side when toad gets banned cause of splight you get two spots in extra
When you linked splash make and Blue slug for Anemone, wasnt it supposed to be a link 3 since a link 2 and 1 makes a link 3?
You can make a link 2 count as a link 1 when link summoning
