- This is my first trip offshore in my Sea Doo Fish Pro Trophy! In this video I head 15 miles to a gas rig that is known to have all sorts of red snapper, trigger fish, Cobia and many other fish. Jet ski fishing is going to take a little getting use to but it wasn't a bad first trip at all!

I have been following you for a while now and do have an overall opinion on your delivery and quality of the videos. It's just my opinion of course. What has caught my attention is your interest in trying new things that are just not traditional in normal fishing practices. That really caught my attention for I like to find folks who do something a little different whether it works or not. This trip off shore 15 miles on a water scooter caught my interest. Others do this as well, but this was your show and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally, I have never been on one of those water scooters and never will, but I enjoyed videos by folks who do. Have never been on a kayak either and never will. I'm a Jon boat river guy. Anyway, you have a way of making the videos interesting. So far your variety of content has been attractive and I just look forward to see what's next. The content is nearly always perfect and your gift for gab an personality does come through in fine fashion. That helpos sell the show. Wish you the very best down the road and may your channel grow and become even more popular with fishermen up and down the coast. I'm over here in the Florida Panhandle and fish the Choctawhatchee Bay and River.

I'd love to do that too I even thought of buying one and haven't rigged up with the lights and you know all the safety equipment GPS whether channels sonar and so forth but no I think you're doing great I'm enjoying what you doing and you know it just takes a little bit of time a new style of fishing but I hope you catch what you're out there to catch I want to continually watch this is red snapper

I saw a ski in bayou la batre that had a trolling motor on front. Had a raised fishing seat with a big basket and rod holder on the back.

Try yoyoing the sp jig and keep it close to the bottom, should help negate some of the blue fish when you work it up through the column. I generally drop back to bottom after 2 -3 full cranks.

spadefish are a popular target species here in VA. They are great eating and they get big up here. Its common to get them close to 10lbs on the offshore structures here. They are quite a handful on lighter tackle

Did you put in at the new boat ramp at Dauphin Island?
I was there last Wednesday, May 3 and saw a Sea Doo rig coming into the ramp around 1 or 2 oclock. We were waiting to go out on our 2 night tuna trip (which was awesome)

Man I do both and I don’t think I’ll ever stop kayak fishing but it’s nice to hop on the ski and run offshore for the day.

A lot of times the bigger fish will be suspended. Try counting seconds on your drop instead of dropping to the bottom

I can’t wait to hook up on one! I got a few trips planned if the weather holds up. There’s room on the back to keep a fish bag but I would probably just put him by my feet inside the gunnels.

What rod and reel set up was you using when bottom fishing with that Carolina rig?
i see you keep your sea doo on while fishing , does your firsh pro overheat ? i got a new 2023 model , and seems to overheat i get the alarm . if i leave it idle for a while. it has lest than 5 hours.
I’ve never had that alarm come on and I leave mine running all the time. I would check with your dealer.
Check your coolant level. The seadoos are intercooled and don't use the sea water to cool the engine. That said if you suck up a bunch of grass in the intake grate and don't clear it, it can over heat the exhaust and you will get an alarm.
Also you are still in the break in period or were at the time you posted I would be taking it back to a dealer asap. I have owned a fishpro for 4 years put nearly 200 hours on mine and only time I had an over heat alarm was when I had a bunch of weeds in my intake grate
