We completed it all ourselves without lawyers. You can sign your marriage papers in the states and then file for a US spousal visa. But since you have started the k-1, better stick to that. Also, be careful with your taxes, it gets very complicated between the two countries, get yourself a real ass accountant! Also make sure that for your interview in Montreal not to bring in a bag or purse of any sort as they do not have lockers at the location (they will also take your phone and keep it for the duration of your interview) and you will have to go to a nearby mall to rent a locker and end up being late for your interview. Do not be late for your interview!

Yo Tim, make sure you get a good soap and exfoliate your skin. Wash your face AND neck for like 3 - 5 mins with warm water so your pores open up and then rinse with cold water so they shrink up. Pat dry and after, put on some moisturizer that has SPF 30 - 50 in it. Do that consistently twice a day and you'll see a big difference.

Sometimes they do random house check at 5am to make sure you guys are living together etc.
